How does the stock midpipe resonator stack up against the aftermarket?

I just want to know whether or not I should just keep it when/if I build my custom cat back or look elsewhere, like PERRIN, because that is a beastly resonator. Is it towards the bottom or top when it comes to noise canceling? Thanks!
