But if I add more filler, it will no longer be flush with the body.

So this is what it looks like. I guess I missed that tiny hole, or a chunk of putty came off when I was sanding???

Is the area you placed in too high (sand more) or too low (add filler)? Remember you should be samding before amd after applying fillers and primer to have a better bond and finish.

For the most part, they're flush with the rest of the roof (my nail does not catch on the front and back sections). It's only the sides that aren't super flush since I didn't want to sand away the rain channel on the side. But that doesn't show as bad as the front and back.

I did sand before and after the filler, and even sanded it down more after the gray primer.

Sanded down with 320 grit, then when it was near the roof line, sanded down with 800, then 1500, then 2000, and finished with toothpaste.

Edit: I should clarify that's what I did prior to spraying the gray primer, and again before the white primer.

Fill and sand. Fill and sand. Fill and sand.

Or just cover it up with something that hides it.

Did the alternator catch on the frame when you hoisted it out?

Don't think the belts line up now.

I did have it in and out many times (both the real thing and the model).
It was straightened up before it was glued in.
