I have the auto and just flashed my car yesterday after I unboxed my OFT. My butt dyno is super pleased. I also have the OFH on order and can't wait to get that in too! OFT already supports the AT cars. If you want the tranny to shift differently just drive it in manual mode regularly and it will adjust the way it shifts in the auto mode to suit your driving style!

The OFT tunes changes NOTHING to do with auto trans. The only things changed are the engine ecu parameters. The auto has its own separate control unit .
Same for other tuning platforms.

The Engine ecu rom is different for a manual and auto trans as it does not need to talk to auto trans control computer and there is no cluch switch locic ect

The changs made to engine performance by the oft are same for auto and manual.

That's clear, talking here about
1. Tranny Cpu whith engines one integration.
2. Tuning tranny' cpu to lower changing times.

I'm running oft just fine with my auto

random noobie question: is it bad for our cars if we shift into "trip tonic" when we are in regular drive? or should we be stopped?

highly unlikely you could get that kind of improvement in shift time that like three times quicker even with significant hardware and software mods maybe install a DSG

If you looking for auto trans mods you might be better srarting a new thread in engine ehaust transmission area.

The current thread title is now missleading

They've worked very hard to get this transmission to shift as fast as possible. Even if tuners get into the TCU I don't think they are going to speed up shift times. The most they could do is probably change shift points but you can do that by just using the paddles.

Seriously the 6AT shifts very quick. If your used to a manual it may seem slow but a lot of that is just because you're not doing anything while it shifts.

Agreed. I honestly feel like it's no slower than a "normal" person shifting a 6mt. By the time you hit clutch, move shifter, release clutch. The AT is in gear as well.

The car really does "learn" shift points in manual mode as well. I noticed this myself.

I'd actual bet that for the majority of us (no heal toe shifting for me) it's a lot faster then a manual.

I'm in love with how fast and smooth downshifts are in the 6AT.

You mean 6AT . I agree though, they did an amazing job with the 6AT trans. I'll be putting it to the "real test" tomorrow. Bunch of 86s are heading up to the tail of the dragon. Now I just gotta save up for an OFT and OFH
