WRB accent color

Currently my WRB has black wheels and I'm slowly in the process of blacking out all the chrome.

Am thinking of adding an accent color, but having a hard time deciding.

1. Red
2. bright/Fluorescent yellow (like the Subaru WRC cars)

accent color will be only for a few items, e.g. stars on Subaru badges, BRZ ts front and rear bumper pinstriping, wheel accents, etc.

Thoughts?

You can do the red pinstripe on the front and rear bumpers like the tS.

What are you doing for the chrome on the badges?

Fluorescent colors, while exciting, fade very quickly. No amount of clear or uv protectant will help. Some paints and processes are better, but all are a challenge unless you plan to continually redo them. Race teams can use these colors because the cars spend the majority of the time in the shop or transporter and are typically only outside when they are being raced. Also they are continually being refreshed depending on damage/upgrades and such.

Planning on taking it apart and painting the chrome ring part and then using a vinyl overlay for the stars.

What about vinyl? I don't plan on using paint for anything. The accents will be subtle.

I like the yellow stars on blue.

I don't have to do fluorescent yellow, regular yellow is fine. But I am leaning towards yellow since its a little more unique. Most of my friends and my wife have told me they think it will look bad, so I'm a little nervous I'll go down that road and then regret it.

Hmm, not a bad idea, kind of in the same vein as using blue or another shade of blue as the accent color...

This is what I'm thinking for the wheels (which will be black)

This but with a black wheel

Here is more of yellow on blue, I wouldn't do the entire wheel yellow just the pinstripe as above.

Thoughts?

ERA, that is awesome! Thanks! I really the last one you did. Want to do two more, one in red and one in blue? I think I'm considering yellow, red, and blue at this point. Leaning a little away from red as my last car (black wrx wagon) was all black/red and it would be fun to do something different. Purple looks good but I'm going for something flashy, as this car will hopefully be a pretty aggressive build and is going to be primarily a fun/ race car.

Thanks!

Yeah the bright yellow and red are definitely the front runners based on the Photoshop.

The blue would be cool, but unless I could find really bright vinyl, I think it would blend in too much with the black.

I just got green accents to match my brakes. Did just the inside of the mirror to be more subtle. I also haven’t seen this done before.
