How to change the start up screen on 2014 head unit?

Exactly as the title describes, I've been trying to figure this out for forever but no luck. I tried uploading a picture from a USB but that doesn't work. Maybe it has to be in a specific format.

hmm have you seen someone do it before?

I know for sure you can do it with BRZ head unit.. but not sure with FR-S..

I've never run into FR-S start-up image change.

I don't believe that it's doable unless you get the Entune module instead of the BeSpoke one with Aha.

Even then, I'm not sure if it's doable.

http://www.buddssubaru.com/assets/br...tem-Manual.pdf

this link is for the 2014 BRZ Nav manual, page 278-280 have info on how to change the opening screen.

Update 1:
doesn't work with the USB drive, have to try the SD card method. not an overly detailed process in the manual.

Update 2:
doesn't work with PNY 16GB SDHC card, going to try loading a pic direct to the map SD card
