Hi everyone. I figured I'd keep a blog of what I've already done and what I plan on doing in the future for everyone to see. Hopefully if someone likes some of the things I've done they can try it as well. Below is a list of all the things I've done, parts I've purchased, and am thinking of purchasing in the future. Suggestions/feedback from people is appreciated. :happy0180:

About 95% of the stuff I've done to my car, I've done myself with the help of the forum and it's great members. I had someone else do the following: suspension bushings that required a press, alignment, putting the tires on the wheels, supercharger install, and the engine tuning.

When I bought it used from a private party with just over 700 miles on it (no mods). It was in new condition and the owner needed to sell because he was having health issues. He never even got a chance to register it. I wasn't able to find a dealer with any red manual limited BRZs and the dealer I put money down with wasn't going to get one for many months.

Pentosin 3 Liter; 75W-80 Trans Oil changed. Whiteline Gearbox Positive Shift Kit KDT926 and Perrin Rear Shifter Bushing installed. Helps shifting to be more precise and direct. There's a little more noise inside the car at idle but nothing annoying or uncomfortable. Just a slight increase which is perfectly fine by me. A little more vibration from the shifter at idle too but again it's fine and not overly vibrating. I'm happy with it.

Since I don't have the front sway bar on yet as it won't be here until tomorrow all I can say is this car is so tail happy that it's a little scare if accelerating when taking a turn as the back kicks out. Thank goodness for the stability and traction control for helping me until I get the front bar and alignment.

Grimmspeed Carbon Fiber Hood Dampers are now on. The hood opens wider now and it's nice not using the stick! When I installed them I dropped a bolt down the side of the frame. I had to go to an auto parts store to get an entending magnet stick to retrive the bolt! I eventually got it however so all is well.

I got my Whiteline KSR210 Front Steering rack & pinion mount bushing installed tonight. The steering is more crisp and direct. The dead spot in the steering, which was already small is basically non-existent now. Just when it was getting dark I was putting my underpanels back on. Perfect timing.

Cusco turn shift knob (e-brake handle button) installed. This was the biggest pain in the ass yet. I accidentally marked the oem button and couldn't turn it off as the treads crapped out on the button. Had to take the whole e-brake handle off, the metal piece inside came loose, but finally got the damn oem button off. Took a couple hours of work but got it all put back together. All this just for a button knob. I accidentally scrapped the leather on my e-brake handle but it's not noticable unless you put your face super close to the knob as it's under the knob area. 6 blisters on my hands later and it's looking good. After using it a little without the spring in the button I decided to put the spring back in.

Whiteline Front Sway Bar with bushings Front 20mm Fixed BSF45 installed today. Can't really tell much as I'm on winter tires and driving slow but now that I have the front on to go along with the rear I had put on a couple weeks ago the car seems happier and not quite as tail happy.

Rear diff fluid changed with Motul 75w-90. That stuff stinks something fierce! The magnetic drain plug had a moderate amount of metal shavings so it's nice to have fresh fluid in it. This Motul fluid has a small nipple on the end so that a pump wasn't needed. Just take the fill plug off and squeeze the bottle to shoot the new fluid in.

Added a ScangaugeII to the car. Now I can see important info without spending tons of money on external gauges. I mainly bought it for oil temp for before and after I install the Perrin oil cooler. For only $128 on Autozone.com it was a deal. Shows all kinds of cool info.

Perrin Oil Cooler Installed
I installed the Perrin oil cooler last night. After driving around today with the Perrin oil cooler I'm seeing oil temperature decreases of around 20 degrees. Obviously the more air flowing through it, for example when on the freeway, the lower the temperatures will be. I was at about 180 when on the freeway after driving around for a while, instead of the 205ish area before installing the oil cooler.

The install was easy and straightforward thanks to great installation instructions included with the Perrin kit. Basically take the front bumper off, install the kit, check the kit, and put the bumper back on. That's the super general version of course. I think it took me about 1.5 to 2 hours from start to finish.

Installed the Whiteline KDT925 Rear Diff - mount in cradle & support outrigger insert bushing. Easy install especially when using @DarrenDriven lift. I can feel the diff engaging when I'm shifting into 1st, 2nd, and sometimes 3rd. I feel more connected to my car. I now have all the Whileline bushings they sell on my car and I feel at one with my car.

I painted my manifold cover, alternator belt cover, and a/c belt cover red. It was easy. Just took them off, cleaned them, primed them, used red engine paint, then clear coat. Turned out better than I thought! Post picture taking I made the D-4S letters silver.

Painted my wheels Subaru gold. Didn't come out as good as I would have liked but it looks decent. Next time I'll powder coat them gold instead.

Got my car dyno'ed today on a Dyno Dynamics machine at PRE in Portland. I have all the above goodies on the car. Still haven't gotten a tune yet. Turned out I got 171whp which is about what completely stock cars are getting without having a tune. I'm planning on waiting to tune the car until after I install headers. Bolt on stuff doesn't add power without a tune it seems.

I was weary on doing this as I figured my clutch was fine even though I didn't care for the long travel. All I have to say is after driving to the grocery store after doing this (mine is just below brake pedal height), my shifting is much smoother. I'm not jerking my head anymore from all the pedal travel and trying to catch the clutch grab point. Now with the pedal closer to the floor with less travel, my shifts are much smoother and I'm sure passengers will appreciate my driving more now. It's one of my favorites, plus it's free if you have a 12mm and 14mm wrench.

Added OEM splash guards (mud flaps) to the car and also painted my wheels logo red.

Added rear Koni Yellow Sport shocks and rear RCE Yellow springs.
The car looks like a drag racer as it's ass it up in the air a little since only the new rear suspension is in place. Look at the pic of the splash guard install above and you'll notice the rear. It's cool to have adjustable suspension but I can't really give much feedback yet as I've only performed cybernetic surgery to the ass end. The ass doesn't bounce as much, which is less desirable in women but more desirable in cars. I'll give a full report once the front is on as well. The only difficulty with the rear Koni's is that the top hat from the oem shocks that are reused, needed a larger hole so slight widening with a drill was required. After figuring that out, install went as normal based on the other DIY on the forum. Springs are pretty long and stiff so a spring compressor came in handy. Supposedly the RCE yellow and Eibach Prokit that I'm taking off are nearly identical in the level of drop but I'm thinking the Koni shocks may have raised it a little perhaps and that's why the ass is sticking up.
***Update: I had the rear spring perches upside down which is why the ass was up in the air. Looks normal now.

Since Everyone else seems to be getting the Perrin crank pulley I figured I'd join the crowd today. Install was a breeze. I'm not sure if it's actually doing something or if it's in my head but the car seems to slow down less when letting off of the gas and perhaps it feels like there's less resistance speeding up as well. So hard to tell.

Fn'A 4th brake light kit/rear fog light (kit 2) installed. Install was fairly simple with the correct tools called for in the instructions. Here's a pic.

Front Koni Yellow Sport shock inserts installed (they are mated with RCE Yellow springs)
The car handles and rides so much better with the full Koni Yellow shocks and RCE Yellow springs setup compared to stock and compared to when I just had the Eibach ProKits with stock shocks. Gone is the bounciness of the ProKit and of the stock setup. The car handles amazing. I'm happy with this mod. I currently have it set at full soft (only rebound adjustable) which is firmer than stock by a decent amount. I'll try on full stiff soon just to see what it's like. If anyone believes in function over form, this is the suspension mod to get! It doesn't look quite as nice as the drop of a Eibach Sportline but it handles and rides so much better than any FR-S/BRZ I've been in so far.

Prova Wide-View Rear View Mirror Yellow was an easy install but had to buy some outdoor double sided tape as I needed just a little on the two ends for it to sit a little better over the stock rear view mirror. I can see so much more out the back with this mirror and the yellow tint not only looks cool but it reduces the headlight glad a lot so night driving is better now too.

LaminX yellow headlight covers installed by a window tint guy as it was impossible for me to do it myself. Hopefully I don't get a ticket since this is illegal here.

Center Console Trim heated seat button surround installed. Can't get much more simple on an install. I didn't feel like taking a picture with my camera as the company I bought it from already has one.

I PlastiDiped the rear trunk area today. I don't really recommend doing it to pieces unless you paint the whole piece as the Plastidip doesn't form a nice line when the tape is removed.

My Perrin Oil Cooler Radiator started leaking a tiny bit. I took it to Perrin and they were very nice about the whole thing. They said they'd change my oil as well while they are at it. That's what I call a company standing behind their product! I will remember this Perrin Performance and I will be loyal forever! Keep it up!

Rear Diffuser installed and painted gold. Created by Carl Lee (@Wonderbar) company is called Driveway Labs.

This is Carl's first attempt (after his prototype) to make a rear diffuser. He produced 5 based on his prototype. It looks good and install is pretty simple. I've received may complements already. Since it was his first go it's not perfect but worth the money I paid for it as it's a custom hand made, with the help of a laser cutter, rear diffuser. Once he makes more goodies like this I'll be hounding him for those bits as well. Before you read below I'd like to say I really like the diffuser and would definitely buy it again if I didn't have one.

Positives: Looks good. Non-intrusive to the underside, does not scrape the road, nice lines, durable, good idea to use sway bar bolts to mount the backside of it, plastic push pin things were a good idea, fins are a nice medium size, rivets are nice, overall a nice piece. I think I'm seeing a slight increase in MPG but only when on the freeway cruising on a flat surface or downhill where minimal gas pedal pressing is required.

Needs Improving:
1. He designed it based on the Perrin exhaust, not the stock exhaust mid pipe so the hole in the metal is in the middle instead of on the left which decreases the efficiency of the diffuser a little. I would definitely like to see the hole in the proper spot and wonder if I can fix it somehow by getting a small piece to cover up the hole. Another small thing with this is I'm required to use the mounting holes that make the diffuser lower to the ground instead of more flush with the bottom of the car. It's minimal but could help air flow if it matched up to the underside of the car with the proper exhaust cutout.
2. The mounting of the sides is held up buy Phillips screws. I'd like to see something a little more sturdy and more OEM looking. perhaps drill a little hole and use more pushpins instead was the first thing that came to mind.

Things I'd like to see:
Aside from the already mentioned hole in different spots for different exhaust setups, I'd like to see possibly 2 fin options or maybe 3: short and long. I think the side fins could hang down a little further than the ones in the middle to give it a little extra style and possible functionality. The fins towards the front of the car could probably hang further down (bigger) since the axle is there but I'm no fluid dynamics engineer or whatever they are called.

I highly recommend this product and really enjoy having it on my car. Hopefully my constructive criticisms doesn't sway anyone from buying or wanting one. I'm a quality assurance engineer so it's my job to give detailed info on stuff. Overall I'd give this product a 8/10. With the couple things I mentioned that need improving I'd give it a 10/10.

Here's what I installed today on my BRZ:
Carbotech AX6 brake pads
Motul RBF600 Racing Brake Fluid
Speed bleeders SB1010-SS
MTEC transmission shift spring kit

The speed bleeders made the brake fluid bleeding process so quick and easy. I think it only took 10 minutes to bleed the entire brake system. Plus I technically didn't need any help but Kevin helped me out anyway. Now he wants speed bleeders after seeing them in action.

The Carbotech AX6 brake pads have great bite and have insane stopping force. I scarred myself a little at how fast I was stopping! I've only used them for a little bit on my drive home but they are night and day difference from the stock pads. The stock pads were good don't get me wrong, but these are great! They were super easy to install as well.

The MTEC transmission shift spring kit is pretty cool. They are easy to install too. They make the shifter feel tighter. The shifter goes into gear more easily but with a tigher feel since the springs are stonger, forcing the shift rod into place quicker and in a more direct feeling. I recommend them especially since it was only about $30.

Update on Carbotech AX6: These pads squeal like a pig so I won't be using them for daily driving after the track day in a few days. They will be saved, swapped, and used for track and autox however. They stop like mad, just can't handle the squeal when driving every day. I never drive crazy/hard enough on roads to need a pad and it's higher heat range anyway. After I wear through the 2 sets of oem pads I have I think I'll go with Carbotech's street pads which are one step down from the AX6 pads.

I installed the Axle-Exchange aluminum drive shaft which is only 12lbs! See the video below for what it sounds like and compare that to my previous video from the exhaust as that's the only NHV voice creating part I've added. The car seems more responsive. There's a slight hollow aluminum can-ish sound to the drive shaft when it engages, which I figure is normal since it's a hollow aluminum drive shaft. The faster the shaft spins the more like a supercharger my car sounds. I didn't realize it would do this buy I think the sound is cool. It's not overly loud at all. It's a nice slight reminder that I have a light drive shaft that is rated at 700ft/lbs. I'll never get that much torque into it but at least it could handle it if I do even drop money into forced induction. Overall I like my purchase. It took about twice as long to install that I thought (40mins) but that's because I don't have a lift and was using two jack stands in the rear. The bolts were really hard to get loose. I had to use my foot to push as a socket wouldn't fit on all four bolts, plus no way to fit it under the car when not on a lift. I couldn't get a socket on two of the four bolts after I put the new one on as it wouldn't go on the head all the way so I just pulled with all my might so it should be close to 55ft/lbs. All you need is 14mm wrenches and a 14mm socket and extension to get the old one's middle support bracket off.

Finally finished installing Ensolite sound deadening & Fatmat sound deadening.
The car is much quieter now. I don't have to raise my voice to talk. Rain doesn't sound like a bombing run by the Nazis. My gear, trans, and diff noise is super quiet (I previously put stuff on that made them louder). My exhaust is a little quieter with the windows up. Road noise has decreased. It took all day to install it throughout the car but it was a good experience. Shout out to @digital_assassin for helping me.

Car tuned with BRZEdit at PRE here in Portland by Bobby (with all the above parts still installed of course). The air was super thick and cold so the dyno gave generous numbers. As you can see in the chart the Dyno Dynamics gave 206whp after the tune, which compared to the previous dyno in the spring of 172whp, that's a 34hp increase! The guys said if it was warmer and not so thick air I'd probably see about 10-15hp less which would put it around 195whp-ish which is still respectable with only bolt on exhaust and intake components.

I tried an unresonated stock midpipe today. I installed it and took it for a spin. See the video. It was way too loud for my liking, especially with the windows down. I'm sure people could hear me from a mile away! It doesn't help that my UEL headers are catless, I have a sport cat in the overpipe, and have a louder than stock exhaust. It would probably be fine with everything stock but the midpipe.

I was lucky enough to be asked by a fellow car member if I'd like to buy their Innovate supercharger from him as he was parting out his car since he was selling it. He offered $2k so I said sure. I wasn't expecting to spend money or buy anything but an offer like this doesn't come every day so I took it. Here's a picture of it and the dyno. The air wasn't nearly as dense as it was on the last dyno. i can definitely feel more power so I know it's there. It makes a nice whine but I'm hoping I can make it louder by replacing the Innovate's plastic intake pipe with a metal one. Commuting to work has become extra fun!

The numbers aren't impressive but not horrible. I've hit the wall on this kit and the only thing I can do running 92oct gas is to get a different kit, run meth injection, or run e85 (or both). I'd prefer to stay on the normal gas for convenience.

The kit can only run on the stock MAP sensor as any other sensor like the 3bar with freak out the ECU at the top end for an unknown reason. There's no post blower temp reading.

I'd say this kit is great for someone that wants about what you see in HP/TQ and doesn't want to bother getting supporting mods like exhaust, intake, a clutch, injectors, or fuel pump, and an OEM look, or just that nice supercharger whine.

The two lines are 75mm stock pulley, not intercooled, 92oct gas on BRZedit tune @Drift-Office Bob correct me if I'm wrong). The second is 70mm pulley, intercooled, 92oct gas on EcuTek.

Big props to Bob at Drift Office @Drift-Office and Mike at Moto East @moto-mike for figuring out the difficulties with this kit and making my car shine with what it has. You've earned a loyal customer with your superb customer service and quality work.

The Nameless Innovate intake charge pipe with double ceramic coating on the inside and outside is a nice piece. Looks much nicer that the plastic one. I think I'm going to crinkle coat paint it red since I have the paint sitting for it.

Dual oil catch can from Radium Engineering installed (later sold one of the catch cans, the one that was on the intake side as it was bone dry and not needed, the pvc side however is catching stuff so I'm keeping it)

Install was fairly simple. Install directions are for the stock non- forced induction version so I had to find images on the internet for someone that posted which hoses go to which spots. Both Radium pieces are about super high quality. I don't see anyone finding better versions of either. I didn't take a picture of the green master cylinder brace as you can't really see it with the catch can hoses covering it.

Paint brake calipers red with G2 paint. 2 coats and it was pretty simple. Came with brake cleaner spray, paint, and a brush. Let it dry 24hrs and it looks great.

TRD Quick Shifter installed. (sold as I noticed after a little while of having it on that it makes contact with the drive shaft knuckle) The shifts are super short now! Much shorter than the Kartboy short shift kit, plus it's much cheaper at $135 than the Kartboy. This is in my top 5 mods I've done. Only downside was that my aluminum drive shaft, which has a slightly higher diameter, was not compatible with this mod. Since I like this mod more I removed the drive shaft and went back to the heavy stock drive shaft.

It only took 15mins! This may be the best 15mins of car work I've spent. I can tell where the clutch is engaging now instead of a guessing game of if the spring rotating is the clutch grabbing or if the clutch is actually grabbing. Only slightly heavier feel. Not to the level of a stonger aftermarket street clutch. I need to have everyone drive my car now to see how much different it is since I also just put in the TRD quick shifter, which shortened the throws drastically, much more than the much more expensive Kartboy shifter.

I decided the Nameless offset 5" muffler axleback was too loud going up hills so I'm selling it in the Northwest for sale section. I purchased the Invidia resonated Q300 and it's nice to be able to hear again! It is very quiet even with the catless UEL headers. I'd say in some ways it's quieter than when the stock muffler was on there catless. The stock muffler sounded kind of pingy and not pleasant at all. The Q300 is quiet with a slight deep growl. I kind of wish it was a little louder but I think I'm done trying to find the perfect exhaust for me. This is good enough. Part of me is tempted to go back to the stock catted headers, mid pipe, and put the Nameless axle back on again as that was the best sounding; not to loud, not too quiet with a great tone.

I received the -XXR 527 17x8.25 et 35 in gold. Still need to buy tires for them (245/40R17 Bridgestone RE-11A tires). The gold paint looks like a pretty close match to the Subaru gold which is exactly what I wanted. I'm very happy with my purchase!

Perrin Engine Mounts installed. I and others recommend doing this with the header off of the car. I couldn't get the header off the car as I snapped my extension to my ratchet. I could only remove the oem engine mount on the drivers side by loosening the steering rack and raising the engine up enough to barely get the engine mount out up and over the steering rack. Make sure you follow the directions and remove the header and this is a job that will take about 30-45mins. Took me over an hour since I couldn't get the header off. I couldn't fit a torque wrench to 4 of the bolts so I just tightened them as much as I could but should have been 25ish ft/lbs. The main important bolt that goes into the frame with 65ft/lbs is easy to access and did get to use the torque wrench on. Impression of the mounts after install is that it adds a feeling of being more connected to the car. I'm already tuned and idle is between 700-800rpm, so the extra vibration is well within tolerable levels. With the added vibrations to the car, you can tell the car is more responsive. Since I only paid $120 for these mounts as they were damaged (logo was scuffed and super small dent in one that won't effect how it works at all), this was a no brainer purchase. If you never do autox, track days (HPDE), or drag racing, I would say don't bother with this mod, although if you are super into the saying 'cause racecar' then maybe that suggestion doesn't apply to you.

I painted the interior silver trim pieces gold to match the other gold accents in my car. I used Grimmspeed gold just like I did with my wheels, diffuser, side accents, etc. I think it looks pretty good. I wish I could paint the silver traction control buttons too but the labels would be covered up. Same with the HVAC control buttons as I'd rather not take that apart.

RedlineGoods sun visor black Alcantara with red stitching

I ordered @RedlineGoods Alcantara sun visors. I'm their first customer they are doing this for on a BRZ/FR-S. They've done many other car types, just not our cars yet for this particular item. I chose black Alcantara with a red stitching. The package came after 10 days. When I opened the well padded box it had the Alcantara fabric stitched and cut to just slide over the existing sun visors.

The install was straight forward. Remove the sun visors by taking out the two screws holding each up and unplug the wire for the light in the visor. The mirror pops out from the top. The Alcantara feels great on the hands. Since the fabric wasn't pre-installed I had to install it myself. Slipping the fabric over the visor took a little pulling to get it around the visor but went on and fit rather well. Some trimming was needed for the mirror to snap back into place. The drivers side hole for the mirror lined up well. The passenger side spot for the mirror was a little too far to the right but I was still able to line it up so it's not noticeable with the mirror cover closed. When the mirror cover is opened up however you'll notice the end of the fabric. Some slight modification is needed, which I'm sure they will do for the passenger side since I am their first try at the sun visors. It would have also been nice to not need to trim the mirror area for the clips to be able to go in when pushing the mirror in. The price they charge reflects the fact that you are getting the fabric piece only, not the whole sun visor assembly pre-wrapped.

As you'll see by the post install pictures, it looks very nice. Aside from the minor adjustment of the passenger side mirror hole, I would recommend they put some black stitching around where the plastic clip area that attaches/detaches for pivoting the visor, possibly folding in the fabric a little before stitching so the edge of the fabric isn't seen in that particular spot. They did this with black stitching around the metal pivot point assembly, so if they did the same for the plastic clip area that would be great.

The quality of the job is good and only needs a little adjustment before the product should be sold to the community (I was their first try). I would recommend @RedlineGoods to anyone looking for a less expensive, yet high quality alternative to all the other Alcantara sellers. The brake pedal feels a little less squishy now and more direct. Gives a little more confidence when braking. I'm on the OEM pads (I have separate track pads). The brake lines look cool as well. Picture below is of the rear brake line I installed.

Installed Perrin poly front sway bar end links today. Fairly straightforward to install. Normally shouldn't need to take the wheels off but the bolt connecting to the strut was on tight so needed to remove to get the breaker bar on it. So far they seem good, plus got them for super cheap at the Perrin garage sale so totally worth it.

Installed the Perrin Shadow Gauge Professional 2 Oil Pressure Gauge in the ATI 60mm vent pod. I tried to install a ProSport oil pressure gauge but it didn't work right so Jeff at Perrin worked his wonderful customer service to get me this gauge instead. This one works great and has more features. Now I'll be able to tell if my oil pressure is at dangerous levels both on the street and on the track.

Installed the Diode Dynamics headlight L.E.D. boomerang always on kit/mod. Easy to install. Just remove a fuse and put the new one in and route the wires to each headlight. Plug the plugs into each side of the headlights. 10min job easy peasy. Now I don't need to turn on my light switch to accessory/drl mode every time. I can just leave it in auto mode and the boomerangs will stay on all the time. Plus the DRLs are adjustable so they aren't too bright when the headlights are on or you can switch it so they aren't on at all just like from the factory. With this setup you can have the headlights, DRL, boomerangs, and fog lights going all at once, which may look interesting. Main reason I got it was to make the boomerangs always on regardless of if the headlights turn on or not. The fact that the DRLs can dim and stay on when the headlights are on is just a bonus.

I swapped my front rotors with a nearly new set I bought from a fellow owner that switched to a different set a couple years ago and the brakes feel completely normal again. The old front rotors probably overheated and warped from the last track day as I can see some spider looking crack type things in the surface. 2.5 years, 7 track days, and 3 autox events are probably about right for the stock rotors so I'm not too surprised. I may want to get a separate set of rotors specifically for the track as well as getting new front track pads as my AX6 Carbotech pads are nearly done. Rear rotors and pads look fine in the rear so I left those alone.

Added front strut tower bar from FRSMod.com. It is surprisingly good since it's all welded together unlike the Cusco and Whiteline bars that are hinged. I can feel the difference, especially when going over uneven surfaces and driveways at an angle since I have no choice at home since I'll scrape. Car doesn't make all kinds of creaking and popping noises when doing the angle dance into my driveway. I like the Grimmspeed bar more (had it previously so see earlier updates above) but it doesn't fit over the supercharger.

Chase Bays stainless steel clutch line installed. Not sure if I'm noticing much of anything. Install was a little bit of a pain with the fluid and weird angle the cable needed to be put, plus the supercharger hoses in the back didn't make it any easier. Gates K061015RB belt added to replace K061010. The K061015 was a little too loose for my liking with the 70mm pulley. The K061010 barely fits. The K061010HD was too tight and didn't fit. The K061015RB seems to be a perfect fit and should last longer and handle the stress of track days a little better.

I Installed RCE Tarmac 2 coilovers today. I'll give more info and add them to my first post after I actually get a chance to drive on them and also after getting a corner balance alignment. Not sure where I'll go for the alignment yet.

After the first time driving it I noticed a metal resonation noise. I checked it out and I accidentally bent the brake disc shield and it was rubbing the disc a little. Bent it back and it's better now. I'm currently at about 14" all around from the center of the wheel up to the wheel well. My friend measured his stock car and said his is about 14 3/8" so I think I'll need to lower it a little more to get it to the 1" lowered recommended height. Tired of working on the suspension for now so I'll probably do that later.

Painted the louver area on my hood yesterday. Turned out mediocre. I should have sanded down the existing paint that was left on the louver before as you can still see the red chipped paint even though it is painted over black. At least Plastidip is removable.

Fall in love with your car again and do what I did!

I haven't posted in my build thread in a while as I haven't bought any parts in a while. My turn signal relay I had still installed from when I had Tom's Tails finally quit working all together. My signal was stuck on all day at work and my battery was drained. I do not recommend any of the Tom's tail lights based on my issues and many other's issues or with any of the Depo's taillights (Buddy Club, etc...).

Ordered a new relay and red turn signals for the rear. Installed them tonight and they work great.

In other news I dropped out of the top 10 most modded cars on Wheelwell.

Had a slight issue with the fuse in the supercharger coolant pump coming with the wrong amp fuse and it was fried for who knows how long (year+?) causing the coolant to not circulate. Higher amp fuse in and now should be ok. My Q300 exhaust resonator was hitting the OEM drive shaft a little. AR Motor Sports noticed when they were doing the clutch and drive shaft install. They had to modify the resonator a little for clearance. Doesn't sound quite as good but I'm ok with it.

86k miles update. 9 year anniversary happened in August 2021.

My exhaust gasket between the header and overpipe was half missing which was why my car sounded much louder for probably a couple years, but got worse after a track day at PIR last month. Checked under the car and found the issue. Half the gasket was gone. All the pastic toward the right (passenger) side was melted and mostly gone. I had an original gasket from the original exhaust and put that on and no more leak. Sound much quieter up front now and no exhaust smells up front either. Also noticed the middle bottom bumper hole where a bold usually goes doesn't exist anymore. The bumper is still holding well though. Must have bottomed out and it completely broke off or I didn't notice after I had the shop to the trans stuff from my last post?

New parts installed:
-Subaru Star Field Valve Stem Caps
-Intec Carbon Fiber Tail Light with Clear Lens
-Verus Engineering Aggressive Rear Diffuser
-Verus Engineering Rear Suspension / Differential Cover
-Removed yellow headlight vinyl tint as it was cloudy and looked old

I was able to install the Verus / FT86SF Transmission Tunnel Aero Cover after purchasing a right angle drill adapter since space was limited under the car. Easier than renting a garage with a lift. No pictures sorry.

Installed all the RaceSeng pulleys with the exception of the alternator as I don't have an impact wrench to get the 24mm bolt loose and a breaker bar won't do it since the belt will just turn with it. I'll either buy a impact wrench or wait until I replace the alternator which should be in the next couple years since my car is 9 years old with 86k miles. I had to order a 2nd set of idler pulleys since I have an extra idler for the supercharger. I got red for all of them except the tensioner pulleys as sort of a way to add a different color plus show which are for tension.

Also installed a new belt while I was at it since the other was well over 2 years old and got the HD version for added strength/life, plus more colors for the upcoming holiday season (or something like that).

I'm getting a good deal from Genometuning on suspension parts so looks like I'm spending money on suspension upgrades! @DarrenDriven I will be calling you with cases of beer in hand. I decided to go with these parts instead of strut and under body braces as everything I'm reading seems to show that Whiteline bushings and sway bars do so much more. Braces don't do much with our cars as the chassis is already stiff so bracing doesn't provide much at all.

Just talked with Jason at Nameless Performance and bought the Nameless Performance 2.5" Street Axleback and High Flow Cat Package (Replaces Overpipe) with Offset Mufflers and Helmholtz Resonator. When I'm up in LaCenter to pick it up they are going to throw on the non-offset first to see if I like it better. They have some prototype non-offset left that are used that they will sell me for a better price than new.

I put the Perrin Performance BRZ intake system with foam filter on my car tonight. Fortunately I finished with just enough daylight left. I drove the car around and all I have to say is wow. The intake noise sounds sexy, especially when you give it some gas and in higher rpms it's pure sex! Took about an hour or hour and a half to do all of it by myself. My front bumper is a couple cm off center but I can't seem to get it perfectly straight and don't want to take the bloody thing off again. No one will notice unless they are close and looking for it. I already did the silicone hose a few days earlier so now I have both. I should probably take pics and put them on my build thread tomorrow.

Pentosin 3 Liter; 75W-80 Trans Oil changed. Whiteline Gearbox Positive Shift Kit KDT926 and Perrin Rear Shifter Bushing installed. Helps shifting to be more precise and direct. There's a little more noise inside the car at idle but nothing annoying or uncomfortable. Just a slight increase which is perfectly fine by me. A little more vibration from the shifter at idle too but again it's fine and not overly vibrating. I'm happy with it.

Whiteline KCA416 Front Camber adjusting bolt 16mm. The car definitely has more front camber and feels much nicer. Still need an alignment however as who knows how much it currently has.

WhiteLine Rear Crossmember Mount Bushings KDT922 Positive Traction Kit Car seems more responsive when accelerating.

Whiteline Rear Sway Bar with bushings 16mm Adjustable BSR53Z with Perrin Poly Rear End Links. Since I don't have the front sway bar on yet as it won't be here until tomorrow all I can say is this car is so tail happy that it's a little scare if accelerating when taking a turn as the back kicks out. Thank goodness for the stability and traction control for helping me until I get the front bar and alignment.

Grimmspeed Carbon Fiber Hood Dampers are now on. The hood opens wider now and it's nice not using the stick! When I installed them I dropped a bolt down the side of the frame. I had to go to an auto parts store to get an entending magnet stick to retrive the bolt! I eventually got it however so all is well.

I got my Whiteline KSR210 Front Steering rack & pinion mount bushing installed tonight. The steering is more crisp and direct. The dead spot in the steering, which was already small is basically non-existent now. Just when it was getting dark I was putting my underpanels back on. Perfect timing.

and used a 2 jaw puller from Harbor Frieght. They had a package of 3 for $20 or whatever and used the larger one. The one next to the Cat was a pain as the Cat got in the way a little but I got it off.

Whiteline Front Sway Bar with bushings Front 20mm Fixed BSF45 installed today. Can't really tell much as I'm on winter tires and driving slow but now that I have the front on to go along with the rear I put on a couple weeks ago the car seems happier and not quite as tail happy.
