Your first year autocrossing...just go have fun and focus on the learning part. Since you got your car used, get to know it, get the maintenence up to date, and get comfortable.

A 17x8 with 225 Michelin Pilot Sport 4s or Conti ECS is fun as hell...but not going to to win you national trophies. Something like that for now and as your street set up for later if/when you step up to a 17x9 with 255 competitive tires.

Just an idea.

The ST bodies are Galvanized (vs Stainless on the KW branded ones), so they should hold up against corrosion too.

I've had 2 sets of them in humid-ass Florida right by the beach. Everything rusts here. Stainless parts I've made at work that aren't passivated rust in hours when exposed to the outside air. I haven't seen any rust on my ST shocks in a total of 3 years on them.
