You're not worth anyone's time. Added to ignore for politicizing and useless posts. This is the first time I have done this since I joined in 2012. That makes you "special", not in a good way.

Hey just pointing this out, and I'm sure you know this, but ol' Tyler is goading you on to get pissed off. You two are what caused the last thread to get closed. So I'd advise just shutting up and ignoring him. You know very well as anyone else he's trying to piss you off. So just move on.

Lol I had nothing to do with the last thread getting shut down.

That thread was a cesspool. Pages upon pages of name calling and insults and people telling each other to F off and whatnot.

And I have no interest on intentionally pissing anybody off. I’m just being blunt. Or I could sugar coat for him for 7 paragraphs, but I’m sure he’ll still find away to get mad, call me names, and then have the ol’ Pikachu face when this thread gets shut down like all the others.

We are on the verge of government manidated shots every 5 months. We need to have some deep philosophical thought on whether that is really an ideal situation. I don't think it is personally.

Be careful what you wish for... We are going to have to expell like 30% of the population to be sustainable, but hey maybe instead of blowing each other up we can just ship people to Mars. People are used to wearing masks all the time anyway.

In an epidemiology newsletter (Your Local Epidemiologist, by Katelyn Jetelina) this morning, two astonishing graphs were included - the first showing the increase in ivermectin prescriptions in the past month, and the second showing the number of calls to Florida’s poison control center over that time - for ivermectin poisoning.

It’s incredible that so many people would rather take an unproven antiparasitic agent used to de-worm horses, than a fully approved and effective vaccine.

It would be funny, if it wasn’t actually happening. These people are helping the virus remove them from the planet. Apparently, they’re not happy with how fast the virus is killing them.

Well, after being exposed to the virus pretty much every 12 hour shift for the last 18 months at the behavorial health hospital where my fully vaccinated Son works, he has come down with COVID.

48 hours in, his only symptom is loss of taste and smell. No fever, cough, etc. He's here in the Hawk Nest, isolated in his room for another 8 days. I was around him quite a bit before his symptom showed up so I'm WFH this week out of an abundance of caution (first time a full week since the second week of COVID lockdown).

Of course, every time I get a twitch I'm convinced I've got a breakthrough case as well.

We were just through the ivermectin topic recently. You just bemoaned the spreading of misinformation, yet your post and the newsletter you quoted is at least partly guilty of doing so. The article and two graphs you posted, at first glance, would have one believe that the increased calls to Florida poison control centers were from those taking the increased number of DOCTOR-PRESCRIBED ivermectin doses meant for humans shown in the other graph. They are not; they are cases of ignorant people taking veterinary preparations on their own, never meant for human use or consumption, and without consulting their doctor.
The increasing number of doctors PRESCRIBING ivermectin indicates that ivermectin has, indeed, shown some efficacy in alleviating Covid symptoms. The WHO advises its use only within clinical trial settings currently, but is open to its potentials. Several days ago, I posted links to several studies and articles re ivermectin's possible benefits when prescribed and taken correctly under a doctor's supervision.
Ignorant people taking drugs meant for livestock because they heard ivermectin might help doesn't mean ivermectin does not work, it means some humans do stupid things. We can do two different things with data... We can use it to further our own preconceived agendas and opinions as this author has, or we can attempt to interpret it without drawing incorrect conclusions. For a while there Tide Pod sales corresponded with a rise of kids eating Tide Pods and calling poison control. Does that mean Tide Pods are ineffective as laundry detergent, or that some Tide Pods were used inappropriately by the wrong people?

There is mis/disinformation, intentioned and unintended, malicious and innocent, everywhere, from every side of this issue.

Be well, Dadhawk, and best wishes to your son (and to you should you contract the virus) for an easy, rapid, and full recovery. Appreciate the work you both do.
