I ended up having the dealer drill holes for the front bracket. If I have to have a front plate, I like the stock look.

Totally agree that it looks kind of weird off center.

Ohio requires the front plate. I couldn't stand the thought of drilling the bumper and didn't want to hurt resale value. I used four wire ties to attach the front plate holder to the center of the grill of the FRS. I had previously checked with Toyota engineers about any possible negative effects related to reduced air flow. There were none. They had anticipated this issue. It's front and center and looks great.

I doubt that a front plate will make a dent on the resale value of the vast majority of cars. It's generally not a make-or-break thing.

Go without, or go center. There are no other options.

When I got my brz, the dealer called me and asked if i wanted a front plate. I said no, and they just gave me the front plate mount that came with it

I said it always and ill say it again. Use 3M double sided tape on the bracket and you wont have to drill anything! I did that to mines and it is sticking very stong, even in 30 degree weather it wont budge. Just make sure you do it the proper way and heat up the tape and wipe off the area with IPA before attempting to do so.

I did basically the same thing but centered on my frs, imo adding a black frame helps make the plate appear smaller as well.

Made it 5 months before a trooper pulled me over for no front tag, after a few weeks i dont mind the front plate anymore...
