A bit louder than stock at WOT inside the cabin but not by much. Seat seats up it's basically stock sounding. Seats down there is some added resonance.

Has anyone had any fitment issues to the front fan shroud/latch support? I'm having a tough time installing my header because it's rubbing up against it.

With a wrapped header I have maybe 1/4” of clearance in that area. It was tight with the HKS EL as well.

Fitment was close as mentioned above while installing mine. The header to block flange holes allowed a bit of wiggling up/down to get everything set. I did hammer the belly pan as posts earlier showinf it could rub.

I am also realizing I don't think I got the titanium color thermal coating I ordered .
Looks darker than titanium and lighter than tungsten.

Looks like I'm not crazy, I'll have to try a bit harder to fit it in tomorrow. Thanks for the pictures of your car, it helps!

My opinion, better EL 4-2-1.

My Greddy headers work fine fine.

Going to leave this here. CSG has tuned a 2nd gen BRZ with these headers on 91 octane and the gains are pretty bananas.

On their conservative dyno, 215whp is no joke!
  • a stock FA24 puts down 186whp on there vs 210-215whp from most Dynojets I've seen
  • for more reference (if memory serves correctly), a stock FA20 does about 150whp, and one with the same JDL 4-2-1 EL header is sitting around 175whp.

Sure makes me jelly of 2nd gen owners!

Looks about right to me, I had the titanium color ceramic coating on my first gen header and it matched your color.

What tunes do y'all use for these headers? Planning on buying and have been scouring around for the best ways to get power out of these.

Other than custom, I figure theres:
OFT 2.76 (when they had EL and UEL separate)
OFT 4.03
Wayne (normal short length EL)
Wayne ACE long tube (I think I saw someone mention using this?)
Steve (does he make a tune for this header?)

I'm leaning towards just grabbing a normal EL tune from Wayne but curious about what y'all get results with.
