So if doesn't close.. as pointed out.. you will have a leak and a lean condition. I understand and agree it's a lot riding on a inexpensive part.

Should the coolant expansion tank for the supercharger be on the MAX line when it’s cold, or should it be in the middle on a cold engine?

My understanding was that it should be just below the middle line on a cold engine. You want enough in there that it circulates properly on a cold start, but has room for overflow during hard driving.

so I finally shined a light under the runners, I have the 3 bolt bypass valve. If I pull off the hose at the manifold and suck on it, the valve doesnt budge and I can suck in quite easily. I attached the hose and at idle I can see the valve get pulled open. If I pinch the hose the valve immediately closes. Based on the post 2368 I have a huge leak in the diaphram. This is the source of my P0171. The fuel trims are like 40%.

So I need to fix that first.

I've been reading that edelbrock changed to a dry air filter. Does anyone have a part number for it?

I received my kit today. Looks like the updated K&N PN is SP3737, Edelbrock PN 51-0157.

So the new valves fail just like the old ones? That's great.

Move the source of the valve to vacuum once you get a new one.

Just ran the car for the first time with the remote MAP sensor modification. No power drop in upper rpm due to MAP fluctuations in the runner anymore. Feels much better.

Got an update, Edelbrock sent me a warranty replacement of the 3 bolt bypass. I was able to change it out in about 45 minutes. Just took off the Throttle Body and it was pretty easy.

Driveability is much better. I havent thrown a P0171 yet. and I havent seen the issue of no power at full throttle and yet my boost gauge was saying 10psi.

as for the bad valve, I couldnt even suck on it and get it to move. I might as well been sucking through a straw. the new valve I easily could suck it in and move the valve. The diaphram must be totally torn.

So other than the SC my car is all stock. I want to get an exhaust and get tuned and I like to get the most I can for pump gas. (Not messing with flex fuel)

Been watching all the FTspeedfactory videos. I want a good exhaust (catback) thats not too loud (i live in Kaliforniastan) and doesnt have a terrible drone in the 3K range.

I love the idea of going full header back but will i get the most gains for that? and again the CA thing.

So those with experience, please educate on what works and what numbers you have got in TQ and HP.

Thanks
