Took my car to the dyno yesterday for a few runs, and here is my best run. Not too happy about the results.. I did not however do a baseline run, so this is all I have to go by.

Supporting mods are Tomei Catless EL headers, Perrin 3" Cat-back, and Delicious 93 OCT tune.

According to my torque app, it peaked at 12 psi boost and intake temp was 95F. The car heat-soaks fast so we had to let it sit for a bit of time in between runs. We did 3 runs total, the last two runs were almost identical so we stopped there.

Happy to hear your thoughts on the run and what could possibly contributed to these results. I plan on installing the E85 flex kit over the winter to see if that helps.

Dyno dynamics generally read really low. Ask them what a stock 86 does on their dyno, I bet it is about 140 hp/100 ft-lbs.

What matters is that freaking flat-as-Kansas torque curve from 3k to 7k. Hard to complain about that.

Also, that's a 20% increase from straight stock, assuming it would read 200HP on the dyno (which it sounds like it wouldn't, so it would be more). I'd be happy with that combined with the improved torque curve.

@Chris3007 what does your butt-dyno tell you? That's what really matters.

Same car/same day. Dynojet showed 400 hp, dyno dynamics 325. So 1.23xyour hp gives you 293 dynojet hp. Feel better now?

well, my car finally developed a new inspection window. Cruising at 78, no signs of issues, then boom, hole in block. Anyone have suggestions on build block recommendations?

IAG short blocks are basically the cheapest ones for you americans
alternative is an OEM short block that's about 2k usd and you forge the internals

they don't seem to have a very good reputation across other forums from what I've found.

For all you daily drivers out there, how often do you change your oil after adding FI? How about cleaning the air filter?

I didn't change a thing. I always used the 5000 mile mark as my oil change interval and still do. A couple years ago, I sent an oil sample for analysis with 4500 miles on it and it came back with 0 issues, that is with running E85 as well.

As for the air filter, to be honest, I haven't even looked at it in 3 years since install, probably 25,000 miles ago, I guess maybe I should take a peek.

Anyone on here running an EL header with an Edelbrock kit still on the stock clutch? I have an Exedy stage 1 but am getting sick of the harmonic resonance between 2k and 3k. The stock clutch was slipping on me when I first upgraded so I swapped it but I wonder how much of that was just from a worn clutch at 65k miles.

I don't have an El header, but I'm on stock clutch and spun a dynojet to the tune of 330whp and 240wtq with e85. Roughly 25k miles on the car, 5k of that supercharged.

Clutch slips a slight bit occasionally in 6th when I go to pass on the highway, does absolutely fine through a whole day at the roadcourse even while shifting into 5th for the longer straights. Don't think it'll last forever, but so far so good.
