Garage
I dipped my stock wheels and less than a week later I had a piece of dip hanging off of the wheel. After a week and a half so much dirt has stuck to the wheels that it just looked goofy. I took all the dip off and purchased a set of wheels instead. Just my experience.

I am thinking about plastidipping just the roof.

Does the paint peel after removing the dip?

Did mine long time ago by using couples of spray cans but I could not give it the perfect surface (Tried 2 times) that was why it looked cheap. Stayed with that for few months and peeled it off without any problem.

But using spray gun is a lot better.

Complete PD noob here... Am I looking at it right, he didn't cover the optics at all, just some tape in the middle to make peeling it off easily?
How about the black plastic parts (like the skirt, lower rear bumper, etc.)? I don't see that he covered those?

You want to mask off anywhere where the dip could react badly with the car like the front grill (to protect the radiator) and exhaust tips etc.

Everywhere else you mask if all about saving dip, you can choose to spray over all the glass and peel the dip off later but that's a lot of dip you're removing. You have to spray it full on onto anywhere that isn't masked (lights and whatnot) for it to peel off easily and anywhere you can mask off will save you dip in the long run.
