Can you take pictures and write instructions in this thread? I'm interested in all the front bumper issues folks have had. I haven't yet had any issues, but I think it's just a matter of time and want to make sure I know what I need to do. Thanks

I got the QL-25-SP to fix the gaps. These are a great solution.

I just got the Kansai new version that has just one "big" bolt and nut, with a hole drilled through the plates. Anyone install this version yet? The bolt seems way too big to fit without scraping paint off the body of my car.

I'm planning on cutting the clip hole in them and drilling ends for smaller bolts that will fit nicer. Unless there's a trick I'm missing?

I don't see how those are supposed to work

Did you ever figure out how this is installed? I was just about to buy this from JapanParts but noticed that the original version is no longer available.

I ended up cutting slots in the second thinnest pieces and tried gluing. They ended up being too thick, and not sticking. Going to try again with the thinnest ones, and since I have a couple sets trying to sandwich the clip to see if that helps.

Looking at your picture, I can't wrap my head around how this new design is any better than the previous. Was really looking forward to buying a set shown in the OP.

The one from OP's pic makes the most sense. Anyone knows a similar fix to it? The new ones just seem like way too much trouble.

We must be doing something wrong. Surely HKS or whoever is making these now tested the design before they started selling them

Update: purchased the side marker bumper bracket for driver's side + headlight bracket for both sides and this is the result:

Note on first pic the gap on fender and headlight

Then look at the same places:

So the little metal thing is a great idea for an easy fix, but after doing this I realized that is not the main issue. The brackets were bad to begin with, so they've made new ones. And while it's not 100% fixed (more like 99), this is more of a permanent fix than the original tool in this thread.

Did you get any pictures during the install? How/where does the V2 version attach?

Did you buy your parts from a dealer, or a third party OEM seller, like Subaruparts.com? I've been looking at replacing the brackets too.
