I ended up putting a deposit down for a whiteout fr-s today after deciding I didn't want to mess with trying to get a brz from Subaru dealerships that don't even stock any WRX's or STI's and have typical douchebag sales people. I'll just go with an aftermarket in dash nav unit and upgrade to HID's at some point down the road. The fr-s looks better anyway.

I work for Newburgh Toyota-Scion in Orange County, NY. I have been seeing issues with allocations as well. We were passed over on the second round.. even though we have an order for one. So thats why i am telling people six to eight weeks at this point. We are selling ours at Scion Pure Price. So theres no markups.. I saw a guy in FL asking $5K in "market adjustment" what a crock!

My Subaru dealer was allocated 7 cars - which they pre-sold all on March 1st (first day ordering system opened). Strangely, they got 3 in at once on June 1st! They sell a few WRX's - but the dealership is about a year old. Well, the dealership has been around, they only started to carry Subaru within the past year. There was another dealer that shut down before that.

The guy at the dealership was saying how they spent $1M building the new dealership, and how Subaru loves them. I guess so, given they got half their allocation in the first weeks of availability!

(the pre-ordered ones they sold for sticker, but the WRXs on their lot have SPT add ons boosting the price quite a bit - I imagine if they stock a BRZ, it would be loaded down with stuff as well.)
