Super loud chirping noise when driving and idle

Hey whats up guys im posting for a friend lol as I do not have a frs im coming from bimmerpost 135i n54 and 328i f30 lol. I know the whole fuel pump thing but want to make sure before I tell my friend to order it as this sounds loud as hell like obnixious.

That sounds faster than fuel pump crickets and at a quicker pace. I don't hear mine at idle because at idle I edited my tune to not use DI.
But does it sound like this:

Also it's only obnoxious with the hood open to me at least, if at all.

Garage
The first vid sounds much more like a belt or idler bearing.
More of a squeal than distinct pulses.

I don't find the HPFP any more objectionable than the distinctive sound air cooled VWs had at idle.
Just the way the car sounds. Never over idle at all.

She changed the belt already so I doubt it ill check out the idler bearing though I did check the tensioner to see if it moved or shaked it does a little bit.

No, still gonna have crickets at some point or another, that sounds more than crickets on the car you took a video of. What year is it? Sounds belt related

But there is a TSB for replacing the HPFP under warranty to assuage the crickets, it has nothing to do with the fuel lines, it''s just cavitation inherent to the pump design thats due ton ethanol that consistently has had revisions to try and counter.

The tensioner does shake. Automatic tensioners come in two flavors; damped and undamped. Damped tensioners tension to the loosest position of the belt and hold. The belt flexes a little bit as it operates. Undamped tensioners maintain the belt at a constant tension.

Is the tensioner operating properly? Is the belt too long?

Go simple, replace the belt first. Then go from there.

Sounds like direct injection/fuel pump/crickets

Out of curiosity what brand/octane of gas do you use?

The tensioner doesn't shake like crazy you could barely tell if it shakes honestly and at first thats what I though that the belt was to long but its not unfortunately.
