I like the effort with this old school retro trd model, but it's not quite there...maybe 16's would be better or something. Or at least IRL it might look a bit better as usual with these cars.

For the design I am playing with, I have thought about integrating the third brake light into the louver. Modern LEDs come in all sorts of convenient sizes and shapes. Doubt that would make it to production, simply because it adds cost and complication, but I might do it for myself just for fun. Of course this may all be immaterial if we get some better shots of the TRD piece and we all fall in love with them.

Well, I am sure once someone gets their hands on a set of the louvers we will see them more readily available. I would love to order these, but 900+ a pop after shipping+handling. I'd rather save that money for my supercharger dream.

Yeah it's just a waiting game.

Maybe someone else will unveil louvers at TAS.

Trd 86 was the only one with the louvers at TAS

So I was quoted $960 for the louvers + $650 shipping. Needless to say I was a little surprised at the shipping amount. Trying to work out a different means of shipping. I think I could fly round trip to japan for about $1200 lol.
