Reinforce battery tie down clamps?

I've had the factory tie down clamps pop out on several occasions, probably jumping over a bump.

Pic of the factory clamps:

Is there a better way to secure the battery?

I have never had this happen to me, and I've been on track (and off-track) at high speed several times.

Make sure they're installed correctly and the nuts are sufficiently tight. Perhaps your battery is not quite the right size for the clamp.

Sounds like you don't have them secured in the right spaces. There are a few places it feels like it fits, but each j hook has its own location and orientation. I've drives my car up a hillclimb type road that is extremely bumpy several times and my battery does not budge (I've replaced that battery as well)

Oh, as mentioned above, I suspect you don't have the tie downs installed properly -

I outta you, but when you realize what you are doing wrong - you'll feel bad enough -

Never had this issue (given I don't track the car, however, I have swapped my battery once.)

While installing those tie-downs, you have to make sure you are going equally on each side as you tighten down, otherwise, the tension from one will cause the other to pop out. Get them both in the hole and thread the nut down till both sides are equally hand tight, slowly tighten each side.

Also note, those tie-downs don't need to be extremely tight. If your hand cannot move the battery it is tight enough. The tighter those get, the more stress on the side of your battery. Batteries expand slightly overtime when they're hot. Not a good combination of things to have inside your engine bay.
