Exclamation Scammers EVERYWHERE on here.

Hey everyone, long time member but took a big break from this community when I started raising a new family. I'm slowly getting back into the forums again and tried posting a WTB for some parts.

I couldn't believe the amount of PMs I got from scammers. Has this been a normal occurrence over the last few years? I just don't ever remember it being this bad. In a span of 12 hours, I got over 9 scam PMs posing as members of this community.

Not too sure what to do other than ignore them. It's just so frustrating when I'm looking for a specific part and have already searched all the posted FS ads and advance searched.

Anyways, kind of a rant, kind of a question. Still happy to be back .

(mods if this was posted in the wrong spot, sorry in advance)

Yeah, they target WTB posts with vigor. No real point of reporting them, they'll just create new accounts. At least they are fairly easy to identify. For the ones that actually put in an effort, asking for the same picture with piece of paper with their user name like for sale posts (and insisting on a buyer protection payment method like PayPal) is usually enough.
In my time here this was always this way, so I guess it's not something new...

Sorry you got so many scammers responding to your WTB posts.

On the plus side, we got two types of annoying advertisements now!
