Haven't used it in the car yet, but the build of the mount is very good. Definitely the right choice for a headrest mount.

GoPro is a GoPro. I've played with it a bit, user and data interfaces take some experimentation to figure out but you can read about everything online online. There is a real user guide on the GoPro website, doesn't come with a paper copy. Make sure you get an SD card. Phone app seems a bit buggy when connecting, but I turn unnecessary permissions functions off on my phone. Video quality seems great to me, haven't tried it in car yet.

You know, I thought about it, given how I'll probably have two or three events under my belt before WBB. I should probably register just in case.

Get your helmet, car, and the rest of your poop in a group for the first couple events. Focus on safety and lay of the land. Don't allow yourself to be distracted by dumb stuff until after you are no longer a newb.

I know, I know. I just get carried away. I think it’s the excitement build up. I like to be as prepared as possible and the fancy stuff is mostly to grade myself and see where I can improve. Not that the instructors won’t tell me but doesn’t hurt to keep a record of it.

No more stupid purchases, I promise lol.

At a minimum, mount, and practice with it weeks beforehand. Know it as well as the controls on your steering column so that, on the day of, you can dedicate 100% of your brain to being in the moment for all the things you're doing for the first time ever.

Probably a great idea I think the anticipation for people who don't get sorted out first is when we see foolish spin-outs.

I'm on the fence. I want to go, but I've got a competing event with the wife in close proximity so I probably will concede and we'll do her thing
