Ah, Zatoichi!! I know that one. Not the movie you mentioned but the TV series. I've watched about 10 episodes and thoroughly enjoyed them. I also really liked Blind Fury. So your suggestion of Zatoichi is the one I will look for first.

Going back to day one of pagers, I've never understood feeling a necessity to respond/answer/initiate any type of outside communication while in the john. At least it's not as bad as having a voice call of some sort. I make a point of making as much bathroom noise as I can anytime someone does this.

Speaking of Japanese movies has anyone here seen Audition?
It is the most disturbing movie I think I have seen. Brilliant but disturbing. It starts so incredibly slow, this is boring, nothing is happening, blah blah then all of sudden goes psychopathic, off the chart.

I loved Oldboy, the South Korean one. I don't own many DVDs but that is one of them. I wouldn't even consider watching the remake. I also like the the main theme music. I'm listening to it as I type.

But seriously, Oldboy didn't make me squirm like Audition.

Last Waltz is one of my all time favorite music.

Speaking of violence, it is not easy for me to watch it but I couldn't stop myself to watch Irreversible a few times. But no power would ever make me watch ever Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma ever again. Its a different level..

I'm sorry if I bore you but, I can't stop myself.. I must tell something about these 3 movies... :P

I've watched this movie more than 100 times (it can be 300, I'm not really sure ) But, do not watch it unless you are Turkish, you'd probably hate it..
