Tape them up and see if your mpg goes down. Probably too small a change with all the driving variables.

Interestingly, it sounds like if you have the auto-release charger doors, the vent behind the front* wheel is blocked, possibly contributing to that model's .25 CD vs if you have the manual release charge door the vents are open and you have a .22 CD - I think. I'm not an expert here. That is just what I summize from the info I found. There could be other factors.

On the Taycan forums, at least one person is complaining about stuff getting kicked up by the tire so they want to block those rear vents.
Next time I see a Taycan I will check closely, but it seems to have 2 ducts on this. The center one for brake cooling, and the one closer to edge for drag reduction.

Kia Optima also has the drag reduction feature. So, seems pike a trend on new vehicles.

They wheel well opens into those vents that are just behind the front wheels. So unlike big bro supra, the GR86's vents actually are functional, lol

Pretty sure it won't be very effective when there's a 17x9+ et35 wheel with a 245+/40R17's tire on

On most cars they’re good for ~1MPG at speed. Very rough estimate. Multiply by 10Million cars a year for Toyota, that adds up real quick.

So it does blow some air to the inside of the wheel well. Not a lot though.
