The stock setup with a drop in filter is best for drivability and fairly good on the power but obviously only looks stock. With a tune something like the Perrin 3" will probably get the most power but you NEED a tune. Not sure if Unichip will work with it or not. For bling, well thats your personal choice whats best.

Personally I have a Perrin drop in filter and silicon tube with a Max Racing dynamic duct. I also removed all the resonators for some extra induction noise. Looks good, sounds great, drivability suffered a littledown low but the top end flys.

you had to remove the crash bar to fit the maxracing air duct? or did u crash it? it looks fuked up or maybe just cause u unbolted the one side... how is it removed? thanks

(i herd an intake backfire 2 or 3 times but it didnt bother me) now i have the injen intake with a tune, exhaust, headers, pulleys and still no problems... havent herd any intake backfires since tune.. BUT..... it did bog on me a few times when i gave too much throttle from a stop on a cold day. but if you back off, it un-boggs and the only time it will bog is if you are at a dead stop and mash the throttle with the clutch out in 1st gear if your going more than 5mph it will never happen. it hasnt happened in months... i love my setup.

Had to remove the bumper and the crash bar to install the duct. I got lazy and didn't fully remove the crash bar. The bumper is relatively easily removed and there are a few DIYs on doing it. The crash bar is held on by 8 bolts and is a piece of cake to remove. Altho from memory I had to take the washer bottle off to get to a couple of the bolts. I installed the duct in less than 3hrs and could do it again much quicker, I was just going slow because it was my first time removing the bumper.

According to my ECUTEK tuner, CAI is not necessary.

I've had the Skunk2 Powerbox for about 800 miles.

Other mods:
- Tomei Expreme UEL Header
- DC Sports Overpipe
- Invidia N1 (muffler delete)
- OFT Stage2+ E85 OTS Tune

It's not a daily for me, but its a completely closed system, with a large inlet. Install wasn't too bad at all, the bumper has to come off but filter cleaning/changing is all under the hood (but again it's an airtight setup).

Really happy with it, really not much induction noise at all. (I'm running it with the removable baffle in for now until I get a real tune). It was also on sale at 86 speed dot com. Like 250 USD I think..

Don't waste money on intake. Stock CAI is fine.

Save your money for OFT, then header.

Nothing off the shelf beyond the Revolution Garage intake seems worth it. Stock is ok, but its not hard to beat if you have some imagination and light fabrication skills.

At $2500, that intake isn't worth it either.

I have the Takeda CAI, it's a really nicely presented unit, looks almost OEM.
