86/AT Did anyone had same issue like mine?

Hi there

This is my very first topic in community.

I had this issue yesterday. After a short road trip from beach, on the way home. Trying to push gas pedal hard on the ramp of Freeway in order to reach 110km/h speed. I keep it on D gear, no sports mode.

But at the half way of ramp, the rev are significantly high (6k up) but speed is only show 60-65kph and I can feel the trembling, dragging, and I pull over the car on the freeway shoulder immediately.

After that, the car automatically shut down, and several warning lights pop up, including ABS, steering wheel, Break, engine oil... (sorry forgot to get a photo)

Tried to re-stratup the car, but there is no start up after short rev circling when I push the bottom and break, also the warning lights pop up again after every time I try to start up the car. Tried several times of it, same. So I did push the gas in the same time when I startup the car, thanks God the car back alive again after that.

My car is 86 GTS AT, 2013. Stock car, currently 82,000km. Service my car regularly (every 5000km) with Subaru Castrol Edge 0w-20 and filter. Just changed trans fluid (dealer said its drain and refill) and coolant flush at local Toyota dealer.

Trying to search the same issue on internet, but no same issue...
Gonna send my car to dealer for checking.

So is anyone had same issue like mine? Much appreciated.

Cheers

If you remove the Toyota Subaru D4S plastic cover from thw top of your engine intake, do you see 2 pipes plugged into the back. One of them has likely popped off is what I suspect. If yes , push it back on and try again.

If not , I am unsure and best get it checked over at the dealers.

Half of the gas tank.

Otherwise it won't re startup again when I push the gas and engine start button in the same time.

I use #98 fuel only as the car required. Mostly BP 98 ultimate, Coles Shell V-Power.

wait for it to happen again

right now you have a weird situation, but not a pattern. patterns can be solved, weird situations just make people pull their hair out.

It's been 4 days after it happened. Never happen again.

But I've been notice this drag feeling since trans fluid changed, sometimes the high rev didn't match speed. At the moment, just push the gas very gently and it seems fine...
