What did you do about the exhaust opening? I thought it would look odd putting the standard exhaust singles where a pair of 4" tips fit nicely

Nothing actually. If it eventually bugs me enough I'll probably have the N1 exits chopped and turned into quad pipes or create a single outlet that fills the gap.

Nice, I've thought about doing this, but this is the first time I've seen it done. Would you mind telling me which badge you used and how you attached it to the grill?

I bought the grill badge with the threaded grill mounts on EBay. Decided not to remove panels in order to use the threads and wing nuts. I used 3M auto mounting tape, kind used for molding. Using an exacto knife I cut the tape to the size of the badge, so no extra tape would be noticed on the edges. Stay away from the badges on EBay that have the "3M" tape. They are garbage. I bought one and it stayed on for one day.

^Agreed. One of the main reasons I'm holding on to the TRD exhaust. Sound not too bad as well. Though that may change when I pair up to aftermarket UEL or EL (undecided) header, and aftermarket front & over pipe.

Installed Nameless header and one piece front pipe 2.5" with cat and Helmholtz. Even though I already liked the sound, it now has a much nicer note to it. No drone but it's loud outside when on the gas. Not too bad at a cruise. It might be the 1st RS1 with this combo and the RS1 cat back. Butt dyno does not detect a big difference. Feels a bit flat down low. But revs more freely and smoother overall. I expect to see the full benefit after I get the tune. Exhaust sound almost perfect to my taste. Deeper tone.
