Dealer won't install TRD rims because he said it's not an option on the 2015. WTF? I just want to drive off with those rims and a TRD intake to start.

The wheels are not an option on the RS 1.0, but if you buy them you can have them installed.

Maybe in Canada the TRD Wheels aren't a option but here in the USA they are.
Canada Scion Owners getting screwed one owner at a time.

Have to be very carful with the Canadian dealers and "TRD" parts. Although I don't think there was any deliberate intent to deceive by my dealer (they just don't sell much TRD stuff) they screwed up identifying some of my add ons as TRD when in fact they were not.
Called my Scion lip spoiler TRD.
Bill of sale identifies lowering springs as TRD. They are actually RS*R Superlows.
When the car was in the showroom they had what they called TRD rims on it that I have never been able to find in any parts list and the center caps are not badged. I did not like the rims at all on the Lava as the colour was all wrong so made them put the stocks back on and saved myself some cash ($2500 to be exact). They put the rims on the next showroom car, pictured below.
My point is that at least some of the Canadian dealers seem very confused by the whole Scion/TRD thing simply from lack of experience with them. My dealer is actually very reputable and I trust them to make things right when you point out errors but I guess they are not all that way.

#204 Checking in

Drove to the Southernmost point in the continental USA. Which is probably the furthest south an RS1 has been (excluding shipping). Received my Kartboy shifter, will install as soon as time permits. Love the car!!!

Those are not Factory Options but rather Distributer (Southeast Toyota) or Dealer installed options and printed out on a suplimental sticker designed to look like the Monroney Sticker that is required by law. The idea is to make it appear as non negotiable items on the car. In fact all of those items are negotiable, and in many cases the dealer will waive the charges for paint sealant, rustproofing etc. There is no "Option" for TRD Wheels from the Factory, they were added on.

Read the post @Caspeed I didn't say anything about the wheels being a factory option.
They can be a port installed option on the new car and they will be on the window sticker if installed at port and not on a add-on sticker.

If you search Scion.com you will find this under the 2015 FR-S.

I believe the term is accessories. you will find the wheels listed under; "2015 SCION FR-S ACCESSORIES" There is no "Option" to order the wheels. But they can be installed later as an accessory. Options are usually "Factory installed"; Automatic transmission, A/C, 4 Wheel drive and yes Wheels on some vehicles. The car dealers use the term "Option" on accessories because it makes the additional charges appear more legit (and less negotiable). The TRD parts are most likely available in Canada as an accessory, and if not, they can be ordered from Stateside.

OK @Carspeed by your definition about what parts are "accessories" vs "factory options" then RS 1.0 body kit, fender garnish, rear spoiler, and quad exhaust are "accessories" as the parts aren't installed at the factory so they don't qualify to be called factory options.

Just food for thought.

In the S.E.T. area you can add the TRD wheels to the FR-S as a "port installed option" or "port accessory".
