I've installed them both on customers cars and honestly I am not a fan of the HKS mostly based on cosmetics and refinement. HKS is certainly not as nice looking. Performance wise they are basically on the same level. Both brands fitment was flawless. The HKS reminds me of a stock manifold with all the heat shielding taken off.

Are you planning to run them wityh a tune?

EDIT: Just read your thread on the issues you were having with OFT. I personally prefer the JDL but I know of at least one forum member that switched from the JDL style of header to the HKS because of how much louder the JDL style was.

Do a search on them, the two headers produce very different powerbands. Also have a look at the Tomei EL headers, they are cheaper and producing similar results to the HKS EL.

Why pay for something when the quality can be had for cheaper if not cheaper and better?

My vote also goes JDL. Great company, awesome performance and a lifetime warranty.

I have the JDL UEL catless header and love it. Keep an eye out in the classified section if you don't want to wait a while since they are made in house. JDL is also in the process of moving so I'm not sure about lead times.
