Update:
I'm still waiting on my oil change kit to arrive. The weather is suppose to be nice on Sunday so I plan to change the oil and perhaps install my Perrin shift mount while I'm under there.

I received a lot of goodies:

The STI knob is a lot heavier and feels great! I love it.

I plan to install the Cusco steering wheel tomorrow. It feels awesome in my hand, a tad smaller and a nice bit thicker. It has excellent fit and finish, looks very OEM:

Also received my Mishimoto Radiator and Hose kit. I plan to install this after I order and get my intercooler upgrade in. That should take care of all my cooling needs!

Update:

Got my oil in!

Installed the steering wheel. It was a pretty quick and painless process. It took me about 30-35 minutes to do. Thanks to @RallySport Direct for the how to. It feels awesome driving. I took it for a quick spin. Very aggressive but OEM feeling. Probably how it should have came stock. Feels more like an STI to me now.

Comparison versus OEM:

About to go back on:

Installed (sorry, I'll try and get a better pic tomorrow, got dark outside):

Very OEMish:

Next up, save some pennies/order the intercooler.

Thanks, I talked to someone at Rally Sport Direct about yanking the OEM one off. I was tugging pretty hard and wasn't sure how hard. Whoever I talked to said really hard, so I did and it slid right off. Thanks for the thorough how-to. I thought it would have taken longer but was really straight forward.

Update:
Finally some solid weather to work on the car. I changed the oil and installed the Perrin rear shift mount. It was a little bit of a pain to install. I think on a lift you would have no problem but on jacks, you have some awkward angles and limited leverage. It took me a lot longer than it should. I took it for a quick spin. It feels a little more solid when going into gears. The throws are still light but it feels like a little more of a thud type feeling when you shift into a gear. Not sure if it's that significantly different from stock but I got it for $30 from a forum member. All in all, I'm not sure if it's really a great upgrade but what the heck, cheap and not too much of a hassle.

Perrin vs OEM:

The Perrin urethane felt much more solid than the flimsy rubbery OEM mount.

Also, tried to get a couple shots of the steering wheel and shift knob. I am loving both, feels so cool every time I get behind the wheel:

Glad we could help! I always like to leave the nut on, but very loose, and rock the wheel back and forth a bit to break the connection. I love how easy the airbag is to remove too. Car is looking great all around! I am loving that STi knob.

Thanks,
Rick

Small Update:
I picked up a set of Whiteline bushings new from a forum member who wasn't going to install them. I love that they are black, keep things very stealth. These are the trans, rear diff, and rear cross member inserts. I hope to install them next weekend but the forecast is looking cold.

Not so OEM:

I also picked up an Asus T100 Tablet/Notebook. It has full-blown Windows 8.1 on it. I'm waiting to get my USB hub in to test EcuTek on it but seems to work thus far. I got it for a steal and am loving it. Should make data logging and taking on travel much easier.

Very Small Update:
The things you do for e85:

I got my USB hub in and tested the EcuTek software on my new tablet. Everything works great, very happy with it.

Awesome, I was also considering spacing my subframe down when I install my 3" OP/DP to get a bit more clearance. I"m glad to see that someone else has done it sucessfully.

Yeah, I need to before it gets warm. I'll hit you up after I get the intercooler in and on.
