I'm gunna call bs on you being any sort of first responder, and you actually are just a grocery cashier trying to put yourself on an even higher pedestal than the media is doing with all you minimum wage workers.

My neighbors are a nurse and fire fighter. Both of them have literally done nothing to isolate. The nurse was furlough because the hospitals are completely dead. My sister lives in a crazy ass neighborhood with a bunch of ER docs and they are all getting severely reduced hours because the hospitals are dead.


I've been following this thing very closely since early December back when most people knew nothing about it. When people started to catch on they were all like, "it's not as bad as the flu". I was the one raging on people for writing it off so easy. Well it looks like they weren't that far off after all. But now the "it's just the flu team" has flipped and is now the "lets kill the economy team".

1. Alot of people give no farks about anyone but themselves and have excuses for every stupid thing they do
2. Everyone is a first responder
3. Nurses are cool
4. Doctors are well educated idiots
5. Meeting random people and breaching basic social distancing is Ok if your a "first responder"
6. Here, breaching basic social distancing if your a first responder isn't Ok
7. Maybe infected first responders are to blame for spreading this thing.

I went to Canadia with work once, got drunk at some cowboy club in Medicine Hat, punched on with some drunk Canadian cow boy, then proceeded to get even drunker with said Canadian cowboy dude and his friends.

Also......whilst speeding in a hire Ram truck a Canadian police car pulled me over, I got out the car and walked up ro his car, a police officer wearing full body armour got out the car, pointed at me with one hand, and his other hand on his side telling me to "get back to your car sir", which I did.

As a nurse in new york state and having had colleagues die from this disease it's super disheartening to see people say it's a sham.

That being said it's not realistic to expect everything to shut down forever. People need to pay rent and feed their families. The shut down really should have been used to buy time to come up with a viable plan and bring up production of PPE. A shut down is not sustainable.
