Nothing wrong with those either! Sometimes you just wanna throw some shit in the bed & go.
Oh, and this is my first car with air. I think I made 20 trips between San Diego and Albuquerque in my 240Z back in the early 90s.

Reminds me a bit of Toyota's stillborn RSC prototype, not CALTY's best effort that had Kevin Hunter defending his job.
For $16K-$18K I'd get a 2008+ FJ Cruiser (tuned for regular gas, VVT-i both sides, big power bump and reinforced body-on-frame) with shorter geared 6M/T and dual range transfer case, bolt a TRD S/C on and have a more versatile, durable, powerful alternative. Considering the price and availability of diesel and possibly urea additive along with unkown reliability, I'd be hesitant to be an early adopter of a diesel Hyundai. |

Oh look, it's a less useful Nissan Juke.

Ironic that it, along with ¥/$ exchange rates and Japanese demographics, became the trigger for eventual US production of most Toyota cars and trucks sold here and exported, along with so many other former import manufacturers setting up shop. The real losers were the UAW that the chicken tax was designed to protect. The new US production facilities are mostly non-union.
Yet we still had to bail out the UAW again in the last go around, losing billions of taxpayer cash including the taxes paid by lower wage earning UAW competitors while the UAW got to keep their inflated pay and pensions. Times have changed. Clinton signed NAFTA and Obama signed "free trade" agreements with Columbia, Panama and Korea, both over objections from their own parties. Then they complain about outsourcing. OK, done, back to...what? Oh, Hyundai. I want another small HiLux too, and am severly disappointed that the 2016 Tacoma wasn't downsized (it seems, no firm specs yet) except in engine displacement. |

My daily, 60hp of 660 3 cylinder turbo fury!
They don't come that way. I swapped the engine in. On fast corners I would slide on the flat stock seats so my freind donated the old bucket from his FD and I had all the guages and the boost controller from past cars. It goes on to it's great reward in March. I'm giving it to another freind so he can cannibalize it to build the same thing with his truck. |

Hyundai Santa Cruz
Test drove a top of the line model (ultimate) recently and was impressed. It rode better and was more comfortable/quiet than either the tundra or ridgeline we have in the family. Driving manners were taut. Power was decent, couldn't boot it since it just came off the truck. Really got me thnking but can't buy a first year model. I really like this thing. Could totally see getting one in a couple of years and relegating my 86 to summer/track car status.
