Weird rattling noise in cabin coming from front left

So, the noise just sounds like a tiny rattling, like something tapping around whenever I ride over any slight bumps. It almost sounds like the "arm" on one of my gauges tapping against the display glass. Or maybe it's something in the front left speaker.

It's very annoying because my FRS is my DD. Please help.

Well you did buy a 30k sports car not a Lexus. Mine has dozen of rattles I have been working to fix. I have a similar one right now actually. I think its coming from under the dash

It is probably two things hitting each other. That is about all I can tell you from a written description.
Would love to help and all but...

I'll try to get a video of it later today. It might be wires under my dash tapping around on something. I believe the source is in the cabin, it's too noticeable to be coming from elsewhere. It really sounds like it's directly under the front left pillar.

Also, does anyone have any experience with an exhuast being so loud that it rattles your back windshield?

If it sounds like a gauge dial tapping on the face of the gauge, good luck capturing it on a video.

I suggest you go to an indoor pistol range and ask to test fire a .357 or .44 magnum (without using ear plugs). Then you won’t hear that noise in the dash anymore.

Is that your car that is vibrating the rear glass …… if so, prepare for more rattles.

It is my exhaust but I'm unsure if it's my back glass or if it's rubbing on something underneath. I only hear the exhaust-caused rattling at 2000-2500 RPM. And yes it does seem like it would be hard to capture the noise of the gauge dial if that is what's causing the inside rattling. Any ideas on what kind of shop I could take it to to get it fixed/checked out?

Well, I'd suggest a DIY shop.

Take a ride in the passenger seat and listen and try to isolate the sound.

Consult with the driver as to where he/she thinks it's coming from.

Pull your car into a quiet place.

Open and drink a beer, while you gather up some electrical tape, duct tape, a few pieces of sponge and a few zip ties.

Go hunting ....... tap, shake, push on, rearrange stuff till you hear the rattle.

Blast it with some of your ammunition.

Have another beer and take a nap.

If it is the gauge dial tapping against the glass, how would you personally go about stopping that from happening

Check to see if the seat belt strap is snapped closed.

Oh, my ....... I doubt that is what is making the sound you're hearing.

However, if it was, I would start by trying to move the case of the gauge both from the front and from the rear. If that didn't work, I'd gently tap on the face of the gauge (with a screwdriver handle, covered with a microfiber rag).

Yeah, I get that I'm new to cars. I'm 18 so I'm learning... I'm going to attack this fucking rattle from the bottom up (taking off drivers dash panel) and try some different things till I get some results. Thanks for the suggestions team

Just start hitting things HARD. I am not joking nor being facetious. With small one off rattles this usually works. Even if it just stops it for a short time in narrows it down to a general location.
