Would you happen to have any before & after photos?

I would not recommend colorchip for larger chips for SWP. The color is too light. Although for little specs, it works.

Sorry, but haven't tried on scratches. I've seen a thread where someone repaired a scrape on the lip tho.

anybody got experience with using Dr.Color chip on firestorm? My hood has got some noticable rock chips from driving on the highway but I don't want it too look worse than it already does since red is such a finicky color

Same here. I got a bottle of touch up paint from an auto body shop guy who left it in my car and I am not sure I should just dab some on the rock chip area.

May I ask whether we need to use primer before applying the OEM paints? So the correct steps is
1. primer
2. base coat
3. top coat?

Thanks in advance for the tips.

If you mean for touch up on chips it is just clean really well, bevel edges, base coat and top.
Larger areas my require a primer.

Thanks for the help. It is a small chip. But it was deep enough so that the metal can be seen. In fact, it already has a tiny bit of rust by the time I found out. So just touch up paint, no primer? Thanks. The size is really small, like 1/2 of a normal rice.

Go to a place that sells auto paint supplies and get a spot sanding pen. You want to get all that rust out.
