Touch Up Pen

I asked my salesperson at the toyota dealer and he offered the pen for free, along with some other gifts, when I attend some type of service seminar that gives owners tips on the car's maintenance. Anyone been to this before?

For those looking for references for the color code, this site worked well for me: http://www.toyotareference.com/scionfrs . I'm ordering Dr. Colorchip through AutoGeek.net for my Asphalt FR-S. Have a chip on the roof (down to the metal), and then a small scrape on the rear bumper (plastic). I'll let you know how it goes.

I'm sure you could call your local Toyota and ask them to order it for you.

They used to not have it available as it was too new for our limited editions last I checked. I ended up ordering from http://www.automotivetouchup.com/ . They have three pens for primer, base and clear and do J8A even though it's not on the order page palette yet.

How much area would a bottle cover?

I ask because I got backed into in the parking lot. Not bad enough to warrant an insurance claim, but it makes me cry a little to look at my rear bumper. The scratches are all on plastic, so no chance of rust, but there are some pretty significant ones all along the bumper cover (where the black plastic valence ties in to the bumper). They seem to mostly be on the edges, so I'm a bit wary of trying to build up and then buff down, since it seems like I could burn through the material quickly on an edge like that.

Or is touch-up even the best option here?

I can get pictures if it helps.

Dr. Color Chip. Just used it on asphalt FRS. Works great. Highly recommended!

No comparison, touch up paint will almost never come out as smooth as drcolorchip that is partially dissolved with the provided blending solution. Just look up the process, for example
