You are gonna have crickets and they should not be a surprise to you. They are not an "issue" as has been stated a million times on here
Need a bit more detail for the brake pedal but from what you said it sounds normal. They don't engage right away. I have had zero "issues" on my 14 and doubt that they slid back to early 13 initial production methods so would hope you have the same luck.

Tried searching? Probably over 100 threads like this
Edit: My brake pedal has some freeplay also, but that is on my 2012 86 at 9000 miles.

As @Tcoat said, need more detail about the brake pedal. If you mean a "soft" initial pressure resistance that then increases with travel, it's normal. Changing pads to a more aggressive compound will eliminate it. When I run Carbotech XP-10's the pedal feels like a 911 brick throughout the full range of travel, but they're too aggressive for street use so have adjusted to the soft stock pads.

The doors seem to hold more moisture than any other car I've owned. I see that some FR-S have been repaired (weather stripping) for similar issues with windows. I don't have any scratches on the windows, or squealing as was reported in earlier years though.

OH shit... I just realized that OP is the "Take a picture of your tach" thread guy!
Dude you need to relax and stop trying to find things that are "wrong". I know that you may be young and this may be your first new car but you are gonna drive yourself nuts at this rate! These cars have a bunch of idiocracies that you don't get in other cars. The RWD set up, lack of soundproofing and very nature of the design mean you will hear and feel things that don't seem "normal". That does not mean there is something wrong.

Ya, the curved, frameless window does hold moisture but I had the same thing in a couple of cars with the same set up. No real way to avoid it.

did you have the dealer swap/look at the muffler bearings?
My dealer near me is working on getting a TSB going, but it looks like this might be the cause of the crickets...they're waiting to see long term(1 month) results on the 6 cars they worked on before going to corporate. |

I never had the issue with my G35 coupe, but that may be due to the fact that my "two-car garage" (which in reality means one-car garage) is occupied by my wife's car these days. So my car gets all the dew and rain.

The 87 will do no harm at all. Car just won't run as well as it could but will completely recover. If you are in "safe mode" your dash would be lit up like a Christmas tree. So if the lights are not on you are ok. You are totally imagining things and I am starting to wonder if some counseling may not be in order (NOT a joke). Just get the regular services done and if you have a real problem take it in and get it fixed!!!!!!
