2pc welded to 3pc conversion or get a different wheels ???

got these wheels for a killer deal, they're 5x120 18x9 et38 , 72.56 hub. They're the Iforged brand 2pc welded.

should I go to a 3 pc conversion ? basically cut the barrels and take and machined the center, then add another inch to the rear barrel, thatll make the backspace to 7.5" versus 6.5" at this time ( from +38 to +60 ), maybe a step lips front if possible ...and then use an inch wheel adapter to fit onto the brz .... or just sell those back and get a custom build CCW 18x10s ?

after the complete job , itll cost me about $2500 ( wheel cost included) vs $4000 for the brand new CCW ...

which one should I do ??

thanks Guys for the advice.

Buy new wheels... I don't see why 2-piece welded wheels needed bolted rivets to begin with.

Add the inch to the outside lip so it would lower the offset by 23.4mm instead of increasing the offset. Also since you are adding, why don't you just add 2.5 inches and be a man

I didn't see the PCD was going to be wrong anyways... so just sell them and buy something else.

I won't add the front lip, but planning to add an inch to the rear to increase the offsets . 25mm 5x100 to 5x120 will be used .... That's the plan. I'm trying to get the +35-40 after the adapter added in

Went to a local wheel restoration shop and got quoted for $5-600 for each wheels converted onto a true 3pc , then add the labor to mill the face out $200 , and still need to get the wheels adapter for $250 ... Which is close to $3000 not including the wheel price .

Most likely ill be selling these wheels and order a brand new set from CCWs

Thanks guys for the advices .

$150/barrel ? From ccw directly ?
I'll call them tomorrow to find out ! ... I like how this wheel look ...that's the first reason I got them in the first place ... If they're really $150/barrel , times 8 =$1200 , I may keep this wheels and go on with it.

The fasteners may not be in the same position. It may (read: will probably) be more work than it's worth. Best bet is to buy new wheels.

New CCW's are really 4k? I thought they were around $700 a wheel?
