True, I can see that given the XV. Subaru just needs to open up the STI parts catalog and cut the crap with these "limited edition" colors.

Eventually Subaru will open up the STI parts catalog to overseas, but first they will need a lot of positive word of mouth reputation for many years before caving in. Just hope by then they don't get ridiculed for competing with the gold standards of the west, like many other previously JDM exclusive products.

It's one of those last JDM exclusive things I get to enjoy as everything else from Japan seems to be opening up by the manufacturers for legit exports these days (i.e. watches, electronics, toys, sneakers, clothing, etc).

True, but they can't garner the reputation they need if they don't have any performance products for sale in the U.S.

I think the problem with Subaru is that they are still relatively small compare to a lot of other car manufacturers, so it's probably harder for them to expand their performance line of products into the west as they'll need to substantially increase production and marketing budget with a distribution channel to match, compare to the big guns like Toyota or Nissan whom are probably just achieving limited success thus far with TRD and Nismo.

I'm just worried that once STI goes worldwide, their product design and quality will slip.

a speedy DIY as these parts are not on sale....

Genuine Chrome Trim Subaru and Grimmspeed Cherry STI spray paint, flexo clear coat for PPE bumper and 3M adhesive foam (9mm x 0,9 mm) on back.
Need primer for PPE or Fiberglass then 3M 2000, 800. Grimmspeed paint and Lechler clear coat (max 60° about 30 mins)

How'd you decide to paint the fender garnish? Plastidip?

No, it was an instant flash! No plastidip but very very difficult to paint on bodywork.
It is chrome plastic surface and silver anodized on metal. You need a special primer to fix the black base coat to it . Then you need a matte coat (72°/ 30 mins) and Cherry Grimmspeed for STI Logo. STI logo was paint after black coat and matte, with a mask and with proper solvent to clean overspray on black.
Very difficult to paint.

Anybody else have the red tS armrests? Had mine for a few months now. Love how they look! Stands out the most compared to my other 4 tS interior bits.

Hey guys, just thought I would share the latest mod to my car. It's not an official tS part as such, but I changed the start up screen on my headunit to maintain the theme. There's a few tutorials floating around on how to do this depending on what unit you may have. Feel free to pinch the graphic if you wish, but you will have to resize it to fit your screen.

I really hope they release the black fenders at some point so I don't have to paint them. These look great by the way. Great job!

These look great but I have Series.Blue interior so no go for me. How do you like the tS black accent trim? I was thinking about doing this. Easy to install?
