I wasn’t questioning whether it dried out or not. I was questioning if that’s why I why it continues working after awhile. And by questioning I mean I’m 99% sure about it otherwise I wouldn’t be half-ass guessing on a post. Your comment remains pointless.

Unless you regularly get the seat above boiling temp, moisture from repeated cold farts will accumulate and destroy it.

Well since the answer was already given about 15 times in this thread alone I don't think it was a mystery. It is also written (as I provided) in plain English the owner manual. My comment is not pointless in the fact that you still have 1% doubt that that is what happened. Even if you were half ass guessing it had already been said many times if you had bothered to read the thread.

OK, guys, thanks for your suggestions, I have looked into it. I explained my situation to the fellows up at Car Toys.

First, they recommended that I just turn in my drivers license .......

I told them to get serious .......

Then they tried to sell me a regular back up camera ....... but, that wouldn't work, even with a BIG screen, because of my poor eyesight.

Then they mentioned a back up audible alert system, so I had to explain that I was hard of hearing.

One of the younger guys said that he could modify a autonomous emergency braking system with the sensors pointing out the rear of the car ........ BINGO! that's what I need!

However, my car is too old to accept that kind of modification plus the cost was prohibitive .......

After that, they escorted me out to my car and guided me out of their parking lot.

So, I'm back to driving in "semi tractor trailer style" ....... just try to avoid situations where I have to back up .......
