Painting the dipstick guide?

I know this is an arbitrary and completely stupid question but since I saw a thread where someone had to replace the o-ring at the bottom of it, I figured I'd ask if it's been done before.

Some high temp glossy paint in black for the dipstick guide could look pretty good.

(Added links to the parts in case anyone had no idea what i was talking about)

Because it's so close to the block, the guide would be exposed to high temps, which means the paint would most likely flake off over time. You could use some high-temp spray paint for grills, that might work.

Was going to say the exact same, high temp BBQ paint or something.
What is the tube made of? If its steel, you could use some gun blue and blue the tube maybe.

I'm not saying I wrote "high temp" in the OP but...

High temp pain would not be required. It is hot in the engine compartment but not that hot. Good quality paint would be required.(Not rattle can) If you want it to last, clean it, Scuff it up good, Clean it again, epoxy prime it, paint it.

How about painting the dipstick pull too? Applying heat to the tip of the dipstick to turn it blue might look cool too?

Reminds me of a guy who used various colored electrical tape on his mountain bike. It was rainbow colored. Maybe the OP should do that.
