This is what i figured, maybe this would work in the case of those high powered drag cars where the turbos are right in front of the radiator or protruding the hoods, even still when you come to a stop.. the same thing would happen as with a regular JB oil cooled only center section.

We have had nothing but good results with PTEs BB turbos. I personally will be running one on my project car. I like the simplicity of only having only oil feed and return. The GT/GTX units get really cramped fast with all 4 lines.

+1. Getting those coolant lines in place so they don't touch either the hotside or compressor housing can be a tedious affair depending on how you route the coolant lines. Though it seems that I had more trouble with my 30r on my STi than this 28. Not sure if theres more room or just maybe the setup, since nothing was v band on the 30r. Sure is nice not having to try to get things bolted down while clocking the turbo, making sure the bolts holding the compressor on aren't interfering with the oil drain, then trying to tighten it all...that was such a pain.

*Fingers crossed*

Hope you guys can find a way to get the cooler mounted! I'll be needing one.

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to coolant line routing, but it'll be necessary.

Its really not bad at all. I am just a stickler and hate lines everywhere. This engine makes me want to scream. I want my tucked EJ25 motor back...lol (that motor wasn't any better honestly).

If I don't end up swapping this engine out in the future I will definitely end up tucking it like @Jesse@JDLAutodesign did. I'd have done it already if @Chase Bays would ever release their tucked engine harness

How long does a tuck take? I'm guessing a whole week.

It depends on if you have to extend wires. On my STi, it was apart for quite some time...I relocated the ABS unit (which required removing all the hard lines from the bay and rebending them/rerouting them) which took the most time. I didn't do a full "complete" tuck but you couldn't see most of the wiring in my bay and fortunately the Fuse box could be relocated without extending wires. The only wire I had to extend was my alternator. Jesse posted a picture up of his wire tuck (http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...5&postcount=88), you will see how extensive it was. Its a reason why I want to buy an already made harness

I don't even want to think about how much time I spent just removing the tape and plastic sleeving from the original harness.

A pre made harness would be crazy expensive though, right? All that copper and those connectors.

Welp, not doing that then. If it's a crazy amount of time just for that, I'll pass.
