Why do these cars make you giddy

What is it about these little cars that can make a grown man giddy? I so look fwd to driving it every morning and it wakes me up more than a cup of coffee. I get so pumped after driving my little FRS

- Makes you work for all 200 horses (revving the crap out of the poor thing).

- Steering. Just point and go.

- Appearance. I look back and smile every time I leave the car.

Many more things but very minute compared to the above.

I used to hate that I live about 40 minutes from work. But that's when I owned a G35 and a Civic LX. Now I appreciate the distance everyday for the very reasons you mentioned.

To your point #1, that's one of my favorite things about this car. I can redline first and second gear and still be within the given limit allowed by the cops here in Georgia. I love it when I just need to let off some steam!

The car is very direct and raw with an simple yet sporty interior. It is also much louder and rev happy than my old car. I drove a 2014 Corolla hatch before this and it's just so much more fun and the looks are way better too.

Every time I start my car I always have a grin on my face.

At the end of the day, I think that's the most important thing about a car - it's ability to make you smile.

Have to agree with you there. Whenever my car is being worked on I have to take my brother's G35 coupe and it is so BORING.

The V6 power is nice but everything else, boring. Automatic, fat, heavy, steering has play and I don't feel "one" with the car at all.

Totally agree about the BRZ bringing a smile to my face every time. Ohh an especially when I was stock and schooled a Mini Cooper S. He taunted and it was one of those days.

Just want to say I've had a fantastic new years eve with my car. Took it to a wash bay and cleaned everything down to the wheels, then hit up the local mountain and then the lower back roads for an hour. Today was the first day in awhile that I didn't shift below 4000, and it really brought me back to why I love the car so much, even though the torque response is super flat you get all the sensations of a high revving motor all the time.

Where most new cars are sold based on the amount of features, new tech or fuel economy, it's refreshing to have Toyobaru focus on actually building a car for driving enthusiasts.

I'll fully admit to being scared during spirited drivers when I hit 5k+, especially 6.5k to redline, and it sounds like its going to explode. And that was with stock exhaust.

With the Corsa, man...
