Yeah, when I was searching for a 2019, red was around, but none within 150 miles from me, so I had to stray from it as much as I wanted one.

Not doubting you - just sad that I didn't get my red BRZ and had to settle for a SWP one...

They dropped red in the US for 2020. We still get it (well got it I guess) here.
If I had not got the Hakone the Subaru dealership here had a red BRZ in the showroom I would probably have gone with.

I think about 1/2 the 13 -16 BRZs I see around here are red.

Nah. They are all just a little different. Also keep in mind when I say "half the ones I have seen" that means about 3 out of 6. It is a very special day when I see another twin on the road around here.
Hell I had to go have coffee with daiheadjai one time just to see a white one up close.

Red is the best color, yes. I hope the new one comes in red. If not, probably can't get it. Also I hope it looks good in red.

There's a chart somewhere on here that did show sales in 2013 by color but i couldn't find it. As I recall, red was good percentage of the sales.

Good times... At least we both still have a Toyobaru in our lives (I can probably borrow my brother-in-law's 2017)

Then they came out with WRB and it made up about 98% of the production (or so it seems)

Happy to report, I'm not crazy!
https://www.newroads.ca/blog/2013-su...d%20two%2Ddoor.

The BRZ comes in four colours: black, white, silver and blue. But with dark Anthracite alloy rims, black is the perfect shade for the sleek and well-proportioned two-door.
https://www.subaru.ca/content/7907/M...rochure_EN.pdf

They initially didn't offer red (I got mine in July 2013).
So we were both/all right!

Schrodinger's Red BRZ ftw.

Red BRZs have been available the whole time (I think) in Australia. You can still configure one on Subi Australia's website which I find odd since production has stopped and I am not sure there is much stock left.

https://www.subaru.com.au/build-your...Xk6wR2TPgWuGHw

In the pre-facelift, all the colours were available on both 86 and BRZ in Australia except WRB which was exclusive to Subi and Velocity orange (Lava?) which was exclusive to Toyota.

Something weird. Could be my memory though. I would have sworn that they didn't have the WRB at first. They had that other blue.
Mind you since I didn't even know the cars existed until 2015 my perspective is probably way off.
