Plus, I’ve had many manual transmissions in other cars, so it’s simply not that important to me anymore. I use the paddles all the time to down shifts, then I really like how’s it goes back to Drive on its own. When I’m on a twisty mountain road, I use sport mode and paddles...best of both worlds!
If you enjoy manual, good for you. Glad we still have this option, not available any more with many manufacturers. But I don’t believe you will find a MT anymore in Formula One racing and even many drifting cars are running AT’s. I also have to say that this AT is completely different as other AT’s I’ve driven. Feels like a dual clutch automatic, but much better.
Ah yes...let me take another sip of my coffee while I drive around!
I like that you acknowledge that some people like AT and some people like MT and that it's important to have the option. I prefer that mentality over the, "give it up it's outdated, get with the times, you're a dinosaur." MT people are very vocal, not because they want AT to go away but that they want the option to stay around. When someone is looking to by a sports car and are on the fence between AT/MT, ofcourse MT guys are going to push hard to get someone to join the fam and increase the odds of MT staying around a little longer.

So you drink and drive... I hope you don't text and drive too. :P Driving is the highlight of my day, even in stop and go. All distractions are put aside with both hands on the wheel. I typically ignore the phone when it rings even with handsfree. "don't bug me, I am having fun right now."

In Washington state I'm pretty sure it's illegal to drink beverages and drive anyways.

In most states eating and drinking are illegal. I've never seen it enforced...

But can you pour a perfectly measured shot while you're at it?

I bought a manual because I suck at driving automatic. Clutch kicks, slamming gear, downshift, and the fact that most people can’t drive stick. Plus buying a “sport car” that’s a auto is like having a banging hot girl and not banging her to keep her tight for the next guy

I'm pretty sure no guy or girl would want mine after I'm done with it lol

That's also a poor analogy. AT or MT has no bearing on how much it gets used or abused.

I wouldn't want a girl that has been kicked around, had all her teeth knocked out and was burnet up.

Oh and...

Manual.

Because I'm a purist.

But on the real though, it's because I'm a purist.

You found a car with no power steering, power brakes, manual timing advance, etc.?

Just driving a MT is not even close to being a "purist".
