No one's really stepping up with a time and place yet. I'll tentatively say l'll be at the Ingles in Cleveland(just below Helen) at 9-9:30am to meet up with whoever wants to make the ride. If we get some more interest and the time needs to change a lil, l'm down for that.
From there to Fontana,NC will be about a 2 hr ride. Pretty boring after the first 35 minutes(Blood Mountain). But the Tail is worth it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...08&postcount=6 Now for a time, I say we be at that spot at 8:30-9. If you are running late, call (or post) so we don't roll out without you. Bring your cameras if you have.

If yes, then I'll update the first post.
And we need an actual location, like the walmart parking lot or something.

If y'all wanna meet up at the Walmart in Dahlonega at 8:30-9:30 l'm game. If we head up 60, across Wolf Pen, and down Blood Mountain, that'll only be a lil over an hour run.
I'm sure you've all noticed l'm a lil hellbent on hitting Deals Gap. Once we get down Blood Mountain, l may flip around and head back up the mountain and stroll on up to The Tail. I'm sure we'll lose some guys at that point, but l'd love some guys to roll up with me. As far as the initial loop, l cant friggin wait. Only ever done it on Crotch rockets, so l'm interested to see how the twin stacks up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sounds good to me. Are the roads lowered car friendly?

Some spots ARE NOT. But you'll see em coming. No huge dips or anything like tht but a few pot holes, broken road edges. Wolf Pen is pretty bad and really narrow. At least it was the last time l rode it(2-3 yrs ago). You'll be fine tho. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Speaking of crotch rockets, I've chased a couple of them along those roads. I surprised myself at how well I was able to keep up! The little FRS just sticks to the road like glue. |

9:30am Dahlonega Walmart
Dahlonega Walmart sounds good, although if others agree, I think Zwerner would be a good photo op.
So we're saying 9:30am on Saturday, May 17th? I'll probably just do the Suches loop then take off, I've got a family thing back in the city around 2pm. |

Sounds like a plan to me. Getting itchy excited about meeting some other 86 enthusiasts. I've only met a few other guys with em and only 2 live anywhere near me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
