Dyno Day and Car meet/Open House at Aggressive Performance (8/16/2014)

Intro: Su and his shop AGP in Santa Clara are well known in the MR2 tuning community. Pretty much if you have an aging MR2 and need work done his shop is the one most people would recommend you go to, short of another shop up by Sac. His focus has been on MR2s but with the #s dwindling he is starting to expand into work on Subaru. He has an annual meet which in the past has been limited to MR2s only but this year he is opening it up to all cars and also offered dyno pulls this time. Unfortunately the signup list is already full for the dynos but it looks to be an interesting mix of cars to see!

Anyways I was thinking of swinging by to say hi and watch some dyno runs, so I thought I'd share the event with y'all. To show the MR2 solidarity I will probably go in the MR2 Spyder. But all cars are welcome. Also separately i will post up for a possible morning drive before we go there - in the DRIVE thread.

Hello Car Enthusiast,

This is AP annual shop meet. This year, the meet is open to all car groups. Bring your ride and show it off ... Toyota, Lexus, Scion, Honda, Acura, Mazda, Nissan, and many more! (And if you know me, my rides have always been under "project" mode so you will see it at the shop! lol)

Would free food make it easier for you to come out? AP will threw in free food/drink too! Please click 'Join' so we have an accurate head count so we won't be short on supplies.

Also, AP will be hosting a Dyno Day. Our Dynapack is both 4WD and 2WD capable so if you're interested in doing a few pulls, please contact me. The price is $90 for 4WD and $60 for 2WD. This price is base on pre-payment. You will get up to 3 pulls and a printout.

Dyno List: I'm going to limit the # of cars to 15. Remember to bring your wheel lock. Also, this is just a list. There is a second sign up sheet for run order since some people may arrive at different time. (Except the first four since they have time restriction.)

This should go much quicker then years past since I can operate it as two 2WD dyno or 1 4WD dyno.

2) 87 AW11 MK1.5
3) E36 M3

Well despite less than stellar response on here...

it actually was a pretty good meet. Thanks to those of you who did stop by to hang out for a bit... Bob, Jonathan, Frank, Wayne, Fei-Long... and the guy in the white Series.Blue BRZ that I didn't get to meet. Saw some awesome cars roll through, and it's hard to beat free BBQ haha. I think my favorite was the sleeper LS1 powered Toyota Cressida.

Many more photos over at 86DRIVE. http://86drive.com/2014/08/17/aggres...r-meet-photos/

good question, I'm not 100% sure but that is a possibility. Not like we get to see too many of those FTOs around here in the US haha. At first I thought Mitsu 3000GT but the shape is wrong.

My video of the meet is now ready!

If you didn’t go I totally saved you hours of waiting around to see all these cars run on the dyno. So you owe me one.
