Happy 4th everyone. We decided to pass on fireworks this year. Too hot to do anything but sit inside.

Another silly Idaho thing: Statewide it is illegal to light any firework that flys. However, it is legal to buy and sell them.

It's like 65 here, but rainy and overcast.

In Pennsylvania it was illegal to sell such fireworks to a PA resident until a few years ago. But you could sell anything to non-PA residents, so the border towns have huge fireworks stores because they were illegal in all the neighboring states.

I haven't bought or lit my own fireworks in a about 6-7 years. Waiting mostly for the nephews to grow up to enjoy it. Not as much fun as an adult unless you're spending on individual fireworks with comma's in the price tag

We are still over 100° with no end in sight. Breaking records every day. Sucks.

I spent like $250 on mortars last year. It was fun.

Sort of like that around here. Word has it, that it's only legal to sell certain fireworks on the Indian reservation and only legal to set them off on the reservation. Interesting how the reservation "expands" around the 4th of July -

Waaaaaay back in the day, I bought some "big" firecrackers in Georgia during a business trip. At the Atlanta airport - heading back to Connecticut - the airlines told me that I couldn't check them in with my checked luggage. So, I packed them in my carry on luggage. Sailed right through the airport. -

Well they did need to be careful with explosives.

It was the only spot straight enough to let go of the wheel for a sec.
