MRT claims in Australia.

Brett Middleton has made some claims for his BRZ/86 tuning that I thought should be shared here to enable open comment.

Your going to have to reformat the link somehow because it doesn't work as is due to posting restrictions.

"Thats the same or less that we get with a XA power kit...
Good result for an exhaust only, but the MRT XA kit costs less and is more reliable"

lol? How can it be more reliable than the Nameless system unless its Titanium and cost less? They can't even read their own chart properly....

I am not going to search through his numerous large threads to find it but i believe @Visconti said the same thing.

EDIT: Except for the reliability BS

They are the main Ecutek dealer in Australia. (According to the Ecutek website)

I have spoken to 2 different people at MRT discussing options for the BRZ. When I mentioned the Essex Sprint kit both people were dismissive. "There is no way discs of that size can do the job". The fact that they had not tested the kit seemed like a minor detail. My impression was they live in their own world and are not aware of any other tuning/performance developments.

I wouldn't want him touching my car. I'd buy a Visconti tune remotely before that, lol.

In the land of the Holy Australian Standalones (MoTeC, Vipec, Haltech, etc... etc...) does that mean he's a second rate tuner banking off ignorance and monopoly?

Like either he is mathematically dyslexic, or he didn't even look at the chart before replying.

Yeah when the time comes for me to get a tune i will be looking at Visconti or FA20club.com rather than MRT.

I haven't heard of anyone getting their 86 or BRZ tuned by them so i am not sure they are banking on much at all really.

This fits with their rep that i have come accross over the years.

For anyone that read it, I think they lost a lot of credibility when they said Nameless wasn't reliable. Yeah, Nameless has a lot of fanboys and so does Perrin because they both have really good products, but saying something is more reliable than what they offer is pretty bold, especially saying its cheaper.

It's obvious they can't read a dyno chart either... I feel bad for the Aussies.
