Not picking one off the lot. E.g. I call them up and say I want a 2014 automatic with nothing on it, can they do that and give the couple thousand off MSRP in the process.

Oh.
Trust me, 90% of the FRS they have are base models. They will add features to it after you purchase the car.( if you want)
The cars are relatively low miles. Less than 10.
My salesman was George Davaa. We negotiated well below the WOW Price.

I'm several months out from purchasing/ordering one. This is the only dealer I've found within driving distance that sells them below MSRP.
How was your experience with them?

Salesman: George Davaa
Very good. No pressure.
We talked online first using the online chat system. I asked for George.
Scheduled an appointment.
Went there. Greeted us. Asked if we wanna test drive.
I said sure.
Went out. Opened up engine bay, and explained every single detail which I knew already.
We went on a test drive, and he came along with it.
Casual Conversation.
Went back in the dealership, asked if we would like to purchase the car.
Said yes.
Did the paperwork.
Salesman ask: Would you like this that that that that. I said no.
Salesman said: Alrighty, let met talk to the Finance department.
Expect 30mins-45mins waiting time if you're planning to finance. The dealership is always packed with people.
Finance guy attitude is not that nice. But w.e, you want the car for a low price, not for their attitude.

If you order from them, you get lifetime free inspection.
Also, you get a $150 gift card and another $200 if you finance from them.

Remember if your financing you will be making 3 transactions with the dealer, buying a car, selling a car, and buying financing. What is important is the amount of money that comes out of your pocket. If they won't negotiate on one transaction get it somewhere else. Good luck!

Never use dealer financing if you can get a lower rate through your personal bank or credit union. This gives you more negotiating power.

I am better of getting a 14 BRZ Premium for a few hundred more.

Thanks for the encouragement guys, I may have been able to swing something like winter tires/tint/remote start but he wouldn't budge on the price of the car so I didn't try.
That's surprising because Maine is not a market for an FR-S/BRZ due to the shitty weather up there. I lived in Portland for a bit and their is no way in hell I'd drive a car like that up there. I'd say they are dumb for not giving you what you wanted. A buyer like you comes few and far between up there.

You would be surprised how many of these cars are running around New England.

I have a seen a total of 2. One was a black FRS which I have never seen again and then there is a wrb BRZ which I see maybe once a month.

They are very rare around here.

This dealer has five 13 leftovers and they have a 10 series in the showroom.

They would be wise to lower the price. I put in a request on a price, salesmen is checking with his manager.

I think a lot of folks put them away for the winter. I saw a lot more before the first snow.

This is definitely true. From about November until May here (Minnesota) you don't see many RWD sports coupes on the road, including Mustang, Camaro, Challenger, Miata, S2K, Vette, etc. Very rare to see anything like that out here during those months.
