A scoop is not the same as a vent. The hole is facing the wrong direction. All show & no go.

I went with the top secret hood, two vents and one small scoop right in front of the supercharger.

One vent right on top of the airbox so I could remove the top and have it draw air from there and the other to help with getting air out of the engine bay.

I have a picture but it's saying it's too big let me see what I can do

Does anyone know where to buy the Stage 1 kit with the CARB tune shipped from the US? I've looked all over, but I'm only seeing vendors selling the tuner version. Thanks

After doing some more research I now understand this based on how the engine is set up. So obviously this would not be functional at all.
A better option for cooling/venting would be the Varis Arising II. Looks stellar!

I think this hood also comes with rain guards.

Don't you won't the vents further back?
It seems your setup draws the cool air out?

Rain guards are essential. I don't have first-hand experience but have been browsing a little as well. I hear the Vis unit is respected.

Bump. Maybe @SprintexUSA can chime in on this.

I'd love a bonnet (hood to you Yanks ) that has the central scoop right in front of the pulley so you can see it spinning round and then 2 vents towards the back of the hood on either side to allow the hot air to escape

Doesn't seem to be much on the market

75w90 is what is spec'd. 50w makes more power according to Jon, but we spec 75w90 during assembly.

If the JB Performance is 50w will this void the warranty?

You have an excellent idea. I would love to see an option to highlight the supercharger!

Here's another option from GAZOO Racing:

One is completely in the AiRaid Airbox so it really can't function as an air removal very well at all but it does provide a good spot to bring in further air, not quite as cool but probably not much worse than ambient. I also wrapped the box in heat tape as well as the tube hoping to negate as much as I could.

The second does get close to the charge pipe so it might have some effect but honestly the under hood temps to the touch and logging have dropped sometimes only as much as 5 degrees but when moving they drop considerably which is nice for that long highway drive home making sure things have cooled off.

I have not gotten the chance to test it on the road course yet, I almost had the chance last weekend but ended up busy working on and tuning a Land Cruise with an LS Swap.

Something like this would be ideal, but with the central scoop a bit further forward to allow for the charger to fit and the vents a bit further back

I wouldn't want to be the first one, look at it that way.

We'll have a list of approved oils here shortly. The subject deserves healthy study for customer's sake.

Some folks with custom arrangements hold up for tens of thousands of miles. Others using things like Royal Purple, Harley Davidson oil, or Amsoil have failures almost straight away. It's not fair to just throw them under the bus, though. We don't force you to run one oil or the other. Our blowers even hold up with active engine oiling, but not just engine oil or ATF sitting in the gearcase. GL-5 lubricants are the best options. JB's is great stuff, but not available internationally over the counter at the moment. We'll be fair about it.

Just don't be the guy who disassembles the blower and puts it back together with paper towels in the gearcase. Don't be the guy who fills up his gearcase to the brim and then cooks his unit. Don't be the guy who supercharges a known bad motor then throws us under the bus. Don't race the unit, kill it, and then blame us for your own poor maintenance. Acutal user error is the much bigger problem...
