Bushing install marathon complete (almost). No pics because the car was up on the hoist all day and my phone was in the glove box... D'oh!! Now for the almost part. The front subframe bushings are supposed to be packaged as 2x part A and 2x part B. The package had 3x part A and 1x part B. @Slick Let me know if you want to deal with your supplier or if I should call the North American Whiteline distributor. So I have only the rear subframe bushings installed and they were relatively easy to install with the car on the hoist. Pressing out the front LCA bushings was easy but pressing in the new bushings was a bit tricky. The install went well after "persuading" the LCA's back into bolt-in position. The shifter bushing was a piece of cake - just a whole pile of nuts to remove. Finally the long stud install in the rear was mostly trouble-free after removal of the hub nut. However, Jeff needed to fabricate some custom tooling to press out the old studs and press in the new.
All of this would not have been possible without @FRS_Ken and the use of Jeff's garage, hoist, press, tools, and fabricating skills. Ken in case you're wondering we were at it from 10:30AM to 5:30PM. So it was partly your unavailability that made it possible to complete all my installs today. If you want/need help for your next install let me know. Jeff is a helluva great guy as well as a genius. Time for a drink!
