I'm not so sure about that.

That's how I interpreted your post. GM's finanical woes had nothing to do with the cobalt failing, it was a junky car and the word got out so no one bought them. The only thing good about the SS was the Ecotec 260hp engine, the 5 speed tranny and shit styling offset the good part with a lot of bad. If GM actually put effort anything designing their non Camaro and Corvette cars then maybe they would sell more, they basically put all of the top shelf development and parts into those two cars because lets face it those are the only two GM car that are worth anything. American cars will be junk as long as the companies let the union extort them and the companies themselves let corrupt democrat lackeys stay in control. Eliminate those two major problems then the car quality will skyrocket.

I may be a little biased seeing as I own a car built off this same (Delta) platform but from a performance perspective...these cars are very stout.

The Cobalt SS/TC is capable of 300+whp with just a tune and the SS/SC on the stock supercharger often sees 270-280whp numbers. Combine that with awesome brakes and a solid suspension setup and no N/A 86 is touching one of these cars in a straight line or road course IMO.

Oh and just to throw this out there, the Cobalt and Cavalier have absolutely nothing in common! lol

all of have to say about the cobalt (among many, many other things) is you see that muffler?

driving behind one is hilarious because it looks like the cobalt's ball sack is hanging out.

what you are doing is stating your opinions like they are facts. also, five speeds arent inherently worse than six speeds.

Stock exhaust on the FR-S/BRZ is just as pathetic looking...and that's not a Cobalt SS by the way...which is what is being discussed...

What I am doing is stating a fact that six gears are better than five, the first five are for accelerating up to the sixth gear that's purpose is for fuel efficient highway travel and or top speed achievement. The Cobalt was GM's pathetic answer to the sport compact market. It looks like the 86 professional racer guy is done debating with you since he already won the argument. So am I, have fun trolling. Maybe you and sho can have a tit for tat deal where you guys thank each others comments, it looks like you already have that going anyway.

Wow this Focus SVT is a hell of a lot better looking than the Cobalt ever was. Yes the Cobalt SS has 260hp but it's still just a shitty Cobalt. Horsepower in a shitty car equals still a shitty car, you can't polish a turd.

Did you come up with that gem all by yourself? I'm impressed.
